With all of the playing buying we've been doing of late, it got me to thinking how many local juniors are there currently playing anywhere in the nrl or in the UK or France for that matter.
Other than those at the sharks I can think of...
Mitch Brown at Canterbury.
Is David Simmons a local junior?
Others?

Something I was thinking about back in 2010... Is Simmo our most successful junior to emerge since 2000?

I can't think of anyone who was a local junior to have played in several finals series with an added 150 games, however I might be having a mental blank.

Keith Galloway's played for Australia.

(I'd have him back here too next year if we could afford him.)

So technically David Simmons is the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks most successful junior in NRL history.

We should never have let go of him...

IN the history of the NRL there is this sharks junior who now runs some little fishing show. When he played Rugby League he was pretty darn good, if you wanna go into the HISTORY of the NRL.

Going off memory (I could very well be wrong) he was born and raised in Kograh, even making the NSW under 17's (maybe 18's) he THEN joined the Yarrahwarrah Tigers to help him get noticed (by the Sharks obviously)

Pretty sure the main or one of the main reasons he went to the Yarrahwarrah club was because of his close relationship with Robert Stone (ex Dragons player who has since passed away) who was heavily involved with the Yarrahwarrah Tigers.

It would be pretty interesting to see the numbers for each clubs juniors currently playing in the nrl with their club or any other clubs.
