Seriously, why does every player that comes onto the market have to be bandied about as a possible signing. Signing Crocker will not and should not happen. He is a good player but is very injury prone and our abundance of quality second row options mean this should not have even been mentioned. Nothing personal mate but I really thought that this would be the one player that would not even rate a mention.

You just wanna buy up everyone don't ya?

Crocker is a great player, but we don't have room for him in the team, regardless of cap space.

I think our 2009 team is complete. Any big buys have been made from the players available.

I think we'll probably be pretty quiet on the market after kick off unless a real big opportunity pops up. I think we'll see more players let go than brought in in an effort to amount a bit of a war chest to sure up some positions that are currently being occupied by guys who are in their last year or two of their careers.

Crocker WAS great, he is def not the player he was a couple of yrs ago, he said it himself (when signed to hull) the nrl is too tough for his body now so he is happy to go to the superleague, he is only worth 200000 k a yr now.

I disagree on most points, Crocker as much as is dislikeable, is a better player than just tough, he has experience, is a BIG Game player(remember last yrs end?) and if cheap enough ... is the sort of guy(Think Nikau-Storms GF) that can spark a GF win!!! Would prefer Inglis or Slater though!!

off season panda.

do you need a credible reason for starting a thread?

besides shire or one of the mods will prob merge it if they feel its of significant value or let it fade away until buz brings it back again in 3 years time when crockers ripping it up somewhere else.
