Wow, Fifita better than Sludge? Snowman would not have seen Sludge play so I'm not sure how he can judge that.

I have though and while peak Fifita was an absolute beast, Sludge was not only tough, fast and could kick goals, he was a real leader.

Hard to judge a forward compared to a back, but I would go with Sludge too.

I'm not necessarily saying Sludge was better, but to say Sludge isn't even close to Fifita is idiotic, even by Snowman's standards.

peak fifita is the best individual player we have ever had and its not close
How long did we have a peak Fifita for? Would you say 2014 - 2017ish? Trying to remember how good we had it.

Such different positions that it's very hard to compare.

If I had first selection out of a team of Sharks greats, from the player's I've witnessed, it would be Steve Rogers 1st by a country mile, Gavin Miller 2nd.

I'd pick Fifita first at prop without a doubt.

Fun fact, Aaron Woods won Dally M Prop of the Year twice during that time span

On his day Fifita was awesome & could turn a game but unfortunately there were many days when he was very average . Agree Sludge is up there but there have also been a couple of others I would rate ahead of Fifita overall , like Gavin Miller , ET & another fella by the name of Gallen .

Even when Fifita didn’t do anything spectacular he usually had good workload stats, doing the regular front rower stuff

I'll never forget when Fifs first came back from surgery where they opened up his belly, was it his appendix? He was young and fit and hit the ball at pace near the line and there was no stopping him. I thought to myself, cripes we have a ridiculously fun weapon here.

I’ve got 4 ahead of him and that is not down playing Andrew by any means ..

Rogers
Miller
Ett
Gal
Gal lacked the game breaking but was consistent as **** and an absolute workhorse. He also was a true leader unlike Fifita who just got an ego boost from the captaincy and then inspired by his efforts (which made for a great fill in captain).

If you were picking either player to play their best game for you it's hands down Fifita although in saying that Gal had some fantastic efforts like when he played 80 minutes in the front row in SOO and got man of the match too

That's an interesting thing to think about... A forwards prime (like, first grade quality prime)
nice set of names but at their peak they couldnt lace fifitas boots
ET could have flashed in and laced Fifita's boots, trimmed his beard and written a message on his wrist strapping and all Fif's would have noticed was a slight breeze
