Even feels odd to name Brit in that group but really with over 100 games each they are two of our more senior players.
Who else has played 100+ not named? Ramien is one. BHU and Williams I thought maybe, but both on 99!
So yeah, I guess they are senior players
I read it as we've seen what the "senior" guys are capable of, whereas the others have another gear to reach yet.

Nikora probably included as he's now fairly experienced (in number of games + rep experience) and also because he's been killing it.

Brailey... not sure. Given he got the Players' Player medal last year Fitz must be happy with what he's doing.

Thanks for posting egg.

I liked all of that, seems Fitz was being reasonably open and honest. Of course some won’t be happy unless Flanno is back in the chair but we all know that’s a fairy story.

The one bit that jumped out at me is the young kid we signed at centre, Michael Gabriel, said he was lightning quick.

That we need.
Not sure if the comment about only hearing about him through the grape vine was tongue in cheek, or if he has actually scouted this player as someone he wants. Would be odd just signing someone people say will be good

Awesome interview with Sharcast. Spoke to a range of things but a great sentiment of how the side is dissatisfied with previous performances and really focused on taking the next step. I know it's the kind of thing he's gotta say but it's hard not to find him genuine.

@Sam if you run your eyes across these forums at all, big shout out to all your efforts. It's a testament to your hard work to be in a position to interview the coach in that capacity.

Yeah that was a great listen. Very impressive from both interviewer and interviewee.

This club is in great hands with Fitz.

Fitz obviously doesn’t know what he is talking about. Everyone else knows that Blayke is complacent, too comfortable and needs a rest in games because he gets tired.

Ive never questioned his defence or service but always wanted more in attack from him and after listening so does Fitz. He knows he has another level in him and our best footy is played when he's getting on the front foot. Hoping the award has given him a huge confidence boost to try his hand more this season

Agree that Blayke can get even better. Fitz was coached on that answer though. What was he supposed to say? “Nah - he’s topped out”. ?

That’s not what i was commenting on though. Everyone is free to whatever opinion they want re: Blayke’s play. It’s the BS about him having a poor attitude, being too comfortable, complacent etc. that I object to. Was quite obviously made up by certain fans to suit their (weak) arguments.

Funny thing is, Fitz said exactly what sensible people have been saying for ages. Blayke is already one of our best players, but young and can still improve. We love when he runs, but judging him by how often he runs or sets up tries is an oversimplification because there is a balance of when other playmakers should get the ball etc. and we think he is already managing the balance at a very high level.

Peanut gallery hears “Fitz agrees with us that Blayke should run more and needs to improve”.

Was just joking mate. Blayke's biggest detractor isn't here anymore.
