Awesome interview with Sharcast. Spoke to a range of things but a great sentiment of how the side is dissatisfied with previous performances and really focused on taking the next step. I know it's the kind of thing he's gotta say but it's hard not to find him genuine.

@Sam if you run your eyes across these forums at all, big shout out to all your efforts. It's a testament to your hard work to be in a position to interview the coach in that capacity.
Yeah that was a great listen. Very impressive from both interviewer and interviewee.

This club is in great hands with Fitz.

Fitz obviously doesn’t know what he is talking about. Everyone else knows that Blayke is complacent, too comfortable and needs a rest in games because he gets tired.

Ive never questioned his defence or service but always wanted more in attack from him and after listening so does Fitz. He knows he has another level in him and our best footy is played when he's getting on the front foot. Hoping the award has given him a huge confidence boost to try his hand more this season

Agree that Blayke can get even better. Fitz was coached on that answer though. What was he supposed to say? “Nah - he’s topped out”. ?

That’s not what i was commenting on though. Everyone is free to whatever opinion they want re: Blayke’s play. It’s the BS about him having a poor attitude, being too comfortable, complacent etc. that I object to. Was quite obviously made up by certain fans to suit their (weak) arguments.

Funny thing is, Fitz said exactly what sensible people have been saying for ages. Blayke is already one of our best players, but young and can still improve. We love when he runs, but judging him by how often he runs or sets up tries is an oversimplification because there is a balance of when other playmakers should get the ball etc. and we think he is already managing the balance at a very high level.

Peanut gallery hears “Fitz agrees with us that Blayke should run more and needs to improve”.

Was just joking mate. Blayke's biggest detractor isn't here anymore.

Can we let the man post again, I want to know his thoughts
It's been shared that the man can post. If the man can't figure out how, he'll need to get in touch with the mods directly or through someone here who the man is in contact with (I believe there's a few). I believe that hasn't happened but perhaps someone can confirm to put this to bed. It's all very simple.

Yeah - I know (on both counts).

He wasn't the only one questioning Blayke's attitude. There was a group.
Don’t think I’ve ever questioned BB’s attitude.

His service from DH and D is fine. I was just hoping he would kick out of DH a bit more often in the earlier part of the season. He has a good kick on him and it would give us an extra option.

Move on. Listen to his podcast if you want to hear his thoughts.
That’s all well and good. But for a group who say they’re against bullying, having a man serve his punishment (which was deserved) and then talking trash about him and his opinions directly or indirectly (not you) without letting him comment back is very weak

Who is stopping him commenting back?

I have no more evidence Burgo (who directed him to raise it with SF) is blocking him from commenting than he is just either choosing not to comment or choosing not to raise his technical issue with the site owner

On the Blayke Brailey being unfairly targeted subject, I blame a misinterpretation of the Whipping Boy concept.

At least half of the punters on here seemed to think it was all about singling out a player and going all in, rather than thinking about who's copping the blame when they shouldn't necessarily be.

Or was I the one getting the concept wrong?
