Listening to Craig Bellamy last night on One Week at a Time talk about the type of player he likes to coach made me think. In essence he said "I like a player that I know what I'm going to get each week" "a player in which the diference between a bad game and a good game isn't that great" "I dont like coaching a player who you worry about what they will deliver". Here is a bloke that seems to get the best out of his players week in week out and you know what, I agree.

So looking at our current squad what do you think the variance is between a good game and a bad game is for each player?

Who delivers week in week out?

Who can have an "A" grade game one week and an "F" the next?

I think we've had a lot of players who you could rely on to bring the same performance every week. Unfortunately it was a **** performance, but consistent nonetheless.

current team
1- gordan= haven't really seen enough but I think he has shocking games in him every now and then
2- wright= consistent player now that he has found his feet and we know what we're going to get
3- pomeroy= lately has been improved and doesn't have his shockers anymore
4- best= defensively has been alright but doesn't get enough ball and has been consistent at the sme level.
5- mills= inconsistant as he is knew to NRL
6- graham= consistent, I don't think his bad games have been that bad it was just his kicking, always looks dangerous when running the ball and a great one on one defender.
7- porter= consistently solid, not spectacular
8- snowden= consistently very good
9- morris= consistent
10- douglas= consistent
11- bukuya= tough consistent player
12- toops= this year has been consistently good and is much improved after what happened to his sister
13- gal= we all know the answer to this one

imo our players are all pretty consistent but most are not a good enough quality.

Gal, Douglas, Snowden, Gardner, Albert Kelly, Morris, Matt Wirght Jeremy Smith. All are as above.

In last night games we had 3 of these players playing. that was it. what do you expect from a fully fit side

I don't know about the bolded. I'd put Cordoba and B. Wright in there instead. You know what you're going to get from them.

Pretty much my point. Though I think Cordoba's shown improvement this season.

he has become the leader of the bench... the bench that lets us down most times

i like josh, dont get me wrong, great bloke, loves the sharks as well, but fmd if he is a starter next year, i will be crying for 24 weeks

Yeah I know, but things aren't looking too bright for next season are they?
