Could use some of the faithful Sharkies help!

Hey all, been a couple months since I last posted (been busy).

A good mate of mine is turning 21 at the end of this month, and I've been after a present for him. I don't want it to be cash, vouchers, beer, or more importantly those lame "Happy 21st!" coffee mugs which they never use after that one night. I was going to buy him a Sharks jersey, but someone else already got him that.

So, lately my mate has been playing an MMO game, Lord of the Rings Online (he's into all that Tolkien lore stuff). You know, one of those games like World of Warcraft - but much better.

Anyway, apparently the game recently released a new expansion or something and there were competitions to win "special" expansions that come with extra in-game items. So I thought hey, why not? Something different.

One of the contests involved sending in screenshots of the game, and the public would get to vote on them. I raided my friends computer and found screenshos, and decided to send them off (under my email). Now one of them is in the final 14, and the voting ends this Friday.


Bottom line is, I could really use the help of everyone here to help a fellow Sharkie get a 21st birthday present I know he'll enjoy.

I've tried the game myself, and have to admit it wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be. However I've never been much of a gamer, so couldn't quite get into it (to the dismay of my friend, haha).

Sorry for bad-mouthing WoW dier, but we all here the stories of what happens over there!

Yeah i have a couple of mates who i reckon were seriously addicted to that game. Lost from the world of social interaction when that game came out.

Yeah. My mate's pretty good with the kind of game it is though - seems to only play it on his days off and at night ocassionally.

I appreciate all those votes, guys. If we win I'll be sure to let my mate know where majority of the votes came from!

Unfortunately the voting ends on Friday, and am wondering if the competition will slowly sneak up by then. Fingers crossed, though.
