Hey guys, has anyone done "The Coast Walk" from Otford through to Bundeena? It is a fantastic (if very long) walk along the cliff tops and heathlands. Beautiful scenery and plenty of places to go for a swim if you want, either in the ocean or in fresh water pools and stream. If you live in or around the Shire and haven't made this trek it's well worth the effort. Take plenty of water with you if you intend to do the whole thing!

The great thing is, if you want, you can just do sections of the walk by starting at Wattamolla or taking the track out to Big Marley from Bundeena Drive. Top stuff!:)

I've only done the full walk once, camping with a group at North Era. I used to do a fairly regular day walk (march) from Bundeena down to Wattamolla... also a number of times Wattamolla/Garie and Burning Palms... have to get back there soon!

Park your car at Wattamolla... walk to Bundeena and have lunch at "The Fringe" (http://www.thefringe.net.au/) then walk back to Wattamolla and go for a swim in the lagoon.

Bring a camera and plenty of water... whale watching from the top of Marley Head in season is freakin' awesome... they come in VERY close.

Alternatively, catch the early ferry from Cronulla to Bundeena and walk to Otford (26kms) and the catch the train back to Sutherland and change to go back to Cronulla... where you'll find the beer at Northies VERY refreshing!.

Watta - Bundeena - Watta is about 21kms... Bundeena to Otford is about 26kms.

The cliffs are awesome and the boardwalking over the swampy bits is really good. Keep a tight hold on littlies near the cliffs though!
