I tell ya what I used to get shattered by sharks days like today but now I'm immune to it. **** all the haters. Most fans are over it.

If gallen and the rest get banned who cares. I'm over worrying. I just want a club in five or ten years.

Let's push to bring it to an end regardless of the player losses.

I feel the same way.when this thing first broke I was shattered.but hearing the news yesterday I was like "oh we'll another day, another drama",we'll get over it.and I really believe that. What ever happens here on in I do believe the club will survive and be better for it.

So riddle me this

What are the parameters of the suspension, is it as head coach, is it any coaching role ? What if we hire him as our recruitment manager/junior development office or something like that, means he can focus on recruitment/retention for 2015 ?

Or is he not allowed to do that ?

Will be happy with noddy. Good footy brain, seems like he'd connect with the players well and gave his all for us when here.

I'd say it would be a suspension from the game altogether. Probably wouldn't be a good idea to do that anyway. Very bad look for us and the NRL. I don't think the NRL would look to kindly on us.

or....

Neil Henry

Bit of talk about this on Twitter (the idea not it happening) and people said things like he wouldn't want the role for 12 months etc.

Missing the point if you ask me, if Henry came down won the comp or even top 4 finish with last fortnight of finals then Flanno can come back.

As an assistant.

Ruthless but I think its the best time to be a bit ruthless.

Nothing to lose really.

I don't mind the idea but how much coin would a guy like Henry demand over a rookie coach? Can we afford him?

Flanagan has until mid January to appeal. So if they do appeal, they probably wont appoint anyone in the meantime just in case his ban is overturned.

Waiting until January is a bit late to bring in a brand new coach IMO. Given this, I think Sharp is the best option, if he wants it. He can basically start now, implementing the plans he and Flanagan would have developed. Then everything just goes back to normal if Flanagan comes back.

I can't see the appeal being totally overturned, it might be reduced to 6 months but I doubt completely removed.

I agree waiting till january is too late, so they should bring someone in now, either as an assistant to Sharp, or what ever but plan now so who ever it is is there when the get back from their break.

I agree, I don't think there is any chance in hell of the ban being overturned. Surely they have a plan in place and we may find out after Thursday night's board meeting.

Would a assistant coach take on a gig knowing its only for 9 months?
I would think not but maybe he will, the media seem to like him and I think he comes across as a good bloke

I think they would, all the club would have to offer an assistant job at the end of the nine months.
that way he has nothing to lose, but a chance to make a name for himself.
