Whats everyone's opinion on us taking it this year? I didn't think we would win tonight but we did. What team in the Comp can we not compete with? Next year isn't an option when we are playing football now.
Can we go all the way?

I thought we would we win. My biggest concern is that we let the Cows back into the game in the space of 5 minutes after almost 50 minutes of amazing footy.
We don't shut games out and until we can do that I think the premiership is out of reach.

Was only 2 rounds ago the media were ripping it off it's hinges over the top 4, now the landscape has changed, I really believe anyone that squeaks into the top 8 is a massive chance... Dogs made the granny from 6 or 7th last year..

I went with yes.
We've shown this year that we can match it with the big boys of the competition.
Only concern I have for us is our long kicking game. We all know Robbo can't kick it further that 30 meters, Graham's hot and cold with each kick and Bird straight up doesn't kick if we're more than 20 out. If anyone other that Ennis is kicking the ball long range I'm dreading what will be produced.
Also, have to make a comment about our recent defence. Past two weeks we've only conceded tries from kicks. That's outstanding.

Will probably get flamed for this - but I don't think we have the polish to beat Brisbane or Storm when they're on.
On the upside though, both of them atm look like they're starting to have the wobbles.
However my big fear is Manly - their momentum is building and they are looking fresh. Hopefully some injuries for them will throw a spanner in the works.

I have a bad feeling about next year, there have been many teams that have had great years, just fallen short and with good recruitment they just assume things to happen the following year, only to fail miserably, I.E parra 09/10 Roosters 10/11
So I hope we do take it out this yr....

I'm sure the playing group believe they can, otherwise they wouldn't be out there.
We are playing out of our skin at the moment but our kicking game is Ennis and no one else. Robbo finds wingers and fullbacks on the full, Wade kicks too deep or out on the full, Bird is not quite there as yet with his kicking.
While a GF would suit our grinding style I think other sides are more polished. For me the Roosters are the main threat and the Cows won't lie down. Broncos with Bennett will have the mental toughness despite the two losses and Souths have been there before.
If we make the top 4, it will be one hell of a job.
