can cronulla make the top 8 in 2012

hi everyone im a melbourne lad whos fav sport is soccer but i do like to watch league also cronulla is my fav team ive course melbourne has to be first so cronulla is my 2nd fav team i should say ( always liked ur colours )

my question is im thinking of placing a large bet on cronulla to make the top 8 you have looked good so far but i need the opinion of fanatical NRL fans to be sure are cronulla good enough to make the top 8 in 2012 ?

If we can improve our current form then yes most defiantly. However if we continue to shut down in the second half then sides like St George, Melbourne and Bulldogs will make us look pathetic. We were lucky against the Panthers.

I see us finishing somewhere around 6th

the only player i know just as good as any soccer or afl player is carney hes really good.

On paper I believe we could make the top four. It's just a matter of finding the right combinations on the field.

ok jimbob im 90 percent sure il place the sharks for a top 8 spot. can you give me more confidence in the sharks with a few moer facts for example i see the coach has signed a contract extension, carney is in top form looking like hel get a blues shirt for origin and no major or niggiling injuries to importent players.

Of course we can make the 8 - whether we can compete as a "top side" is a different question. To make the 8 all you need to do is win half of your games (12-12) or maybe 13-11 . Based on what I've seen so far we are capable of doing that, and based on what I've seen from other teams we are easily capable of finishing ahead of 8 other teams. Putting it together is different, but this team can do it.

lol Dude Paul Gallen is the best player in our team, and in the NRL. Carney is great and all but Gallen has been the most influential player we have this year

ok jigsaw dont laugh at me i know of gallan im a melbourne boy born and breed by serbian parents so been serbian heritage and born in melbourne i do know more then most about league and i really do enjoy the sport.

so from what ive seen so far this season and from what you guys have told me and from what ive read on NRL sites sharks look good for the top 8.

another point of discussion looking at the table sharks have let in 77 points which is great but only scored 74 whats the deal there ?

We don't have the attack and will probs win by the same amount over the worst and better teams.

I think we should be there a bouts the 8 spot.

We are a better team than the:
raiders
eels
titans
panthers
roosters

then we are fairly even with a few teams, so imo we will be anywhere from 10th to 6th

We are paying more than $2 to win this weekend. Chuck your money on that and only wait a couple of days for returns. If you want reinvest the returns on the hawks afterwards.

I still think we are going to win the minor premiership. Its only a matter if anyone other then us and the Warriors can beat Melbourne.

If we can keep our players injury free, combinations improve as the season goes on i can see no reason why we won't make the top 4.
At the moment there are only a couple of teams who can worry us. We travelled to Townsville and won, then to penrith same deal, these are two teams playing exceptionally good footy. However we do need to be at full strengh with the likes of the two isaac's back in the starting 13, ike gordon we need for his pace out wide all our other wingers are too slow.
