Why does the team have co-captains? In the old days there was a team captain (and a vice-captain), There was clarity who was the leader on the field. How does co-captaincy work?
Like captaincy, but there are two.
How does it
not work?
If they can’t decide between them without issue who will speak to the ref or go to a presser they shouldn’t (and wouldn’t) have been made co-captains… and in general that’s probably a leadership group concern if they can’t make a pretty simple decision like that between them.
Dale is captain when he’s on, Cam is captain when he’s on. They pick someone between them when both are on.
Either or can do post game and other press stuff, they just decide as adult coworkers (and hopefully friends) something that works like “I’ll do this stupid post match, you do the next one” or “Hey Dale you’re on report for exploding an ear do you want me to do the post match to avoid questions?”, or “hey Cam you look like you made 1000 tackles and have even less teeth and face skin than usual, shall I be on camera today?”
If they are on the same page no reason it can’t work fine.
Why not just say well why doesn’t one just be VC like the old days? They could probably. Which one deserves to be VC?
doesn’t do any harm letting two guys split the off-field captaincy commitments either.
Any more than two I’m unconvinced is sensible though.
