Put it this way: he'll be better than Nielsen.

Was mentioned in a news article somewhere Peach, one to do with Luke McDougall signing as well. It'll be on a forum somewhere.

This news item makes mention of the Storm having announced the signings of McDougall, Todd Lowrie and John Kite (from the Dogs), but nothing about Goodwin.

For a couple of weeks, but his effect was minimal, then we gave stapo a birth in #1 and he was much better.

I was under the impression we bought goodwin to fill in after kearney got injured, then goodwin got injured to stapleton got a start, then goodwin recovered and pushed stapleton on the bench, then he got injured again.

But i do agree stapleton is a better player. But he needs another trick then just recieving inside passes of barrett because opposing teams started to predict it and smashing stapleton each time.

one thing stapo does need to do more is support the ball carriers. hopefully ricky will get him running off gall n toup offloads all off season. offloading is one attacking weapon several of our blokes have but it doesnt really matter if we cant take full advantage of it. this facet of the game is where we really missed kearney last season

BRONX Goodwin is poised to wear the jumper his father "Lord" Ted Goodwin made famous, with the Dragons snaring the former Shark and Raider for season 2010.

Wayne Bennett signed the outside back to a deal last week that will make him the first Goodwin to play for the Dragons since his father became a cult figure for the Red V in the 1970s.

Bronx played with the Sharks this year but it was his little brother Bryson who starred in 2009, going within a whisker of becoming the NRL's leading tryscorer following a stellar year with the Bulldogs.

The Raiders sacked Bronx for an off-field incident at Canberra hotel All Bar Nun that later resulted in an out-of-court settlement, but he married his sweetheart over the off-season as he continues to rebuild his life.

The Dragons are expecting big things from the Perth-raised player when he links with the club in the new year.

Yes your right mate he only ever came to us to fill in for the rest of the season injured twice and ended up being a dud by for the season but we had to try something. I think Stapleton was always in line for this coming season.

But i do agree stapleton is a better player. But he needs another trick then just recieving inside passes of barrett because opposing teams started to predict it and smashing stapleton each time.

But it didn't stop him coming did it lol, I think we will see him starting to run wider well I am hoping so this year.

Bit of a shock. Big League (or RLW, whichever one brought out the annual issue) said he was going to Storm. It was confirmed. A good signing for whoever got him. I really think we should have kept him but i dont think it will cost us too much.

He's a good backup player (in both senses). Disappointed to see him leave when he was probably super-cheap, but you can't keep everyone.
