Who y'all thinking to take his place. I am thinking least disruption is Jack Williams. That allows Tuks to stay on the bench if Roycey is back.

Alternative is shift Sifa to LHS back row, shift Teig to RHS, and bring in Kayal, but its not my preferred option as too much swapping around.

Burns straight in. Fitz won't shuffle the team around like crazy to fit in 1 gamer Tuks. Hunt will take his place back on the bench and Tuks I expect to be back down in reggies where hopefully he has a good game and showed what he learned from the top grade

Serious question - besides Burns and Colquhoun who is our 2nd row depth. We seem to have an abundance of middles, do we need to maybe look at another depth 2nd rower for this/next season?

After Nikora, Wilton, Colquhoun, Burns and not moving Talakai or Williams… we might give Leiu some kind of contract or Pickering and Coutts would be the other guys who’d come into consideration I guess.

Yeah it’s a pretty shallow spot

Yeah I forgot about Burns. That makes sense. I actually don’t mind what I saw of Burns last years at dragons. He has a crack.

I recall Iro playing a few games for the Jets in the backrow at some point.

I think if we are down to our 4th or 5th string backrowers we’d need to get creative - move Sifa, Williams etc. recruit one ?

As for who comes in this week. It’s got to be Burns. Least disruptive to the team and why we got him.

I’m sure they’ll be outrage from some who will demand Sifa go over and Iro comes in but feel that weakens our team more.

For two games Burns will hopefully do the job. He knows he has two weeks to show what he has otherwise next time he’s needed we won’t use him.

Iro was definitely named at second row once or twice. Not sure he actually played there though. The usual Jets games days reshuffle etc.

Burns is “meh” but can plug a hole. Unsexy choice but better than playing someone else out of position for 80 minutes.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Burns/Williams split time there.

Yeah with Nikora and Wilton locked in.

3 depth options Colquhoun, Burns and Williams (I rate Williams, he commonly gets my 3 points, however there is so many players pushing for a bench spot that if there was 3 injuries in that 1 position, shifting Williams wouldn’t be end of the world.

I am happy not to have more money spent on depth when there is already 3 backups.

Keeping in mind that BHU may return... I think for a lot of fans bringing in Burns while leaving out both Hunt and Tuks would be a bit on the nose.

Jack played second row for big minutes in the Panthers game last year and was pretty good.

Primary issue is losing his impact in the middle. Secondary concern is whether he can play 80.

Jack in second row / Burns bench is an option - but it makes 2 middles miss out (BHU, Hunt, Tuks).
