Get the feeling Jesse is ahead of this guy at this stage ..
JC is in front of Hazelton imo if you go by how many games they both played last year.

Tommy got 1 game and JC got 4. And Tommy was available for some of those.

If JC hadn't broken his foot and only returned I think we might be seeing him instead of Tommy. Then again he was killing it for the Jets so you never know.

Yep.

Depends on role though. I reckon for the role he is doing right now Tommy is probably a better pick (15 minutes of power).

JC is definitely the better pick if you want someone to play 30+ minutes, or cover second row.

Possibly also relevant that 2 of those games for JC were activated from 18th man, so it might have just been more of a versatility thing than a preference.

I think JC days on the edge are numbered at best, he is getting bigger and less mobile by the day. He is a workhorse front rower who wouldn’t hurt to go see a running coach along with Hazelton. The can both definitely improve their running style both being very unique in size.

If you notice Capewell with us and broncos

He use to run very upright with us but at the broncos he’s changed it and its worked out for him

I hope we have someone in the club that looks/identifies these things

Yeah - I don't think anyone wants him to be a second rower long term. I just mean that he can handle it, and has a motor. If you need someone for one game he is probably a better choice than a lot of others.

Very unlucky for him. I hope he is OK.

However, wasn’t that a shoulder charge? Are you allowed to tackle leading with your shoulder like that?

Very strong early
Looked a bit worse for wear at end of second stint which is a worry.

Only came on late at the end when the ball was being thrown around and there were errors galore. Make no mistake, he was brilliant tonight. Led our go forward and it was just so damn good to see one of our middles get angry and rip in on both sides of the ball.

He is so important to our side.

Has been strong all season, good carries steamrolling blokes and some nice hits in D - been my impression of him the last 6 months

Doesn't phone it in like some of our other middles, becoming a leader out there
