Forum 2 weeks ago: BHU is meh, let him go we will be ok, isn't that great, not worth fighting over

Forum now: What a signing, so happy, can't believe this bloke has stayed on with us! Club is firing!!!!
Forum 2 weeks ago: Gard's is a knob

Forum now: Gard's is still a knob.

Seriously though, I was all for keeping him just not on a long contract on same money as NZ offered.

I like it a bit less knowing we did end up making a counter offer and he didn't just accept the original one.
Still was always happy to keep him, just didn't think it was viable, given we'd just re-signed Rudolf too.

He was thinking of the Sharks the whole time he was seeing the Warriors, so it still counts

Reading that article earlier, I'm pleased he decided to stay with us at the last few minutes. Himself & AFB could make good 2 starting props next year. even this year when he returns, himself & Ruldof/Hunt would make good starting prop partnerships.

Does he come straight back in? Or should we give him a few weeks in NSW cup?
With 4 forwards on the bench I would bring him straight in. Hunt only played about 19 mins last week so you can ease him into it .

Definitely not a few weeks but I wouldn't be against giving him one week in the Jets for a bit of match fitness.

Royce is the only one that I'd think about dropping after last week but he should be fine if he gets rid of those passes with his arse facing the opposition.

Our defence was mostly great last week, give everyone another crack this week.

I reckon Hunt tried too hard last week. He probably had a personal goal of outperforming AFB and overplayed his hand.

His instructions this week should be to forget about offloads, just good ol' fashion 'on the burst'.

Hunt gets dominated too often for such a big unit. It's like he wears a shirt saying come drag me backwards like I dragged ya mum

Setting aside the gang tackle where there were 5 blokes on him a few metres out from the line... this is the downside of fighting for those extra couple of metres or trying to stand in the tackle and get an offload. The defence is often happy to give you the extra metres if it means they get you on your back with two blokes on top of you - especially when you are attacking inside their 30.

His instructions now are to not start and play off the bench... might help

Uele has to come straight back in, obviously Fitzzy sees him as a big part of our team considering we'd just signed AFB aswell. It's either Hunt or Kaufusi we'd drop back to NSW Cup, I'd prefer to keep Hunt to come off the bench like last season.

It’s an interesting one long term - we have great depth up front;

Colquhoun- 2026
Finucane- 2025
AFB- 2028
Uele- 2026
Hau Taupua- 2025
Hazleton- 2025
Hunt - 2025
Kaufusi- 2025
Rudolf- 2026
Williams- 2024

Most likely one of Hunt & Kaufusi get moved on after next season, along with Finucane retiring

You didn’t get the memo on Kaufusi?
