It wasn’t even that bad of an offload.
Unfortunately beat Dugan and BHU had made so much ground there were titans players far enough behind him to take advantage

It was definitely on, he hits flanno or duges on the chest and we are away. Unfortunately went right behind duges.

it went behind duges because flanno got a touch - was just really unlucky

this guy is a beast though - full strength and he will be unlucky to miss out, but i think we need to keep him over capewell

100%.

I know people like Capewell in the squad for his versatilty but I think Nikora could cover the same positions if it came to the crunch.

Uele can't be left out at full strength imo.

This bloke runs how Fifita should. Runs hard, hits the line and keeps driving, no crabbing. Hope he keeps that up.

I reckon he'll be wearing a kiwi jersey come the end of season 2021.
All this talk around no players for origin, but no talk of all the potential internationals. They could do a lot worse than picking Nikora and BHU on current form

I think Brit will get picked this season for NZ, the big guy will take a little longer, possibly next season but i reckon he is a shoe in by the end of 21

Uele has only been good in 3 or 4 games in his career so far. Silly call to pick him ow. I’d hold off for now.

Agree in general with this, but to be fair Fifs has undoubtedly been carrying injury for some time now(last year and this year) and has not quite been as effective running the ball as he once was. Obviously, he is still a vital ingredient in our team in both attack and defence though

Not sure if anyone has posted this (sorry if it’s a duplication).
Also belongs in the Williams thread.

Sharks’ skipper Paul Gallen’s heir apparents Jack Williams and Braden Uele come of age against Titans

Paul Gallen anointed Jack Williams as his potential successor in the pre-season and against the Titans the young Sharks’ firebrand came of age.

Gallen ran for over 200 metres in a complete performance, but it was hard to ignore the impact of Williams and fellow bench player Braden Uele in the 26-18 victory.

The pair both ran for over 100 metres with Williams rising to the challenge and Williams lived up to Gallen’s lofty praise from the start of the season.

“(Williams) has had a ridiculous pre-season with how good he’s gone,” Gallen said back in March.

“How fast he is, how fit he is, how strong he is. I look at him athletically and think he could be anything.

“That doesn’t mean everything as far as being a rugby league player, but it’s a fair start.”

Williams, a hard-running middle forward blessed with footwork and an offload was expected to become a force last year before he had his season ended by a pectoral injury.

Williams finished with 140 metres against the Titans from 13 runs, with two tackle busts, an offload and 18 tackles.

But it was the manner in which he charged into the teeth of the defence that will most excite coach John Morris.

Time and time again Williams wound up for big runs to get the Sharks out of their danger zone, particularly in the second half.

He was joined by Uele, who ran for 122 metres from 13 runs, with four tackle busts and 22 tackles.

Uele at 24 has just seven games of first grade to his name, while 22-year-old Williams has played 13 games in the top grade for the Sharks over the past two seasons.

The pair’s impact from the bench was made all the more vital by Andrew Fifita’s first half injury.

Gallen gave the Suncorp crowd one last glimpse of his dogged determination to will his side to victory in a typically gutsy display.

However with the Sharks skipper’s career winding down, Morris will be pleased he has two stars in the making ready to step up and fill his shoes.
