near the end souths were getting this self-belief vibe and making this surge.

Big Burgess steaming on from a tackle bust...blake took him on and stopped him until reinforcements helped out.

not afraid to tackle that kid
I thought his efforts late on both sides of the ball were massive.
Moved into my 3-2-1 late

Would love to know how anyone was onside when he got tackled towards the end of the game after his break and passed it to Sifa.

It wasn't so much them being onside.
Players had got back to the try line, but the marker was in the ruck area - so Brails couldnt get a pass away.
Should have been penalty for ruck interference

You used to have to roll to the side outta the PTB. The way its reffed now you're better getting 1 to marker & one lay in just behind the ruck or on his knees to the open side to shut down the DH's options
Definitely see a bit of if it. Blayke needed to be more forceful there and not hope for a penalty they haven’t been blowing in other games.

It is harsh to punish us (no clean access to ball) for winning tackle and getting quick ptb though. Way players are playing into it maybe does need to be addressed

That doesn't apply anywhere else though. But I thought the ref saying Ronny couldn't pull outta contact on their FB was a rare glimmer of common sense.
If he catches it it’s a perfectly timed tackle. Can’t expect players to know a tap on is coming.
Right call
Was concerned it wasn’t going to be.

I look forward to watching Gray in a couple weeks where I can support the little fella, instead of hoping he gets crushed haha

Yep. Be good to see how he goes.

Does the bye count as a week of Trells 3 week suspension?

Is it “3 weeks” or “3 matches”?

Now Blayke is running more (with success), hopefully we have assigned players (other that Sifa) to always be alive around the ruck.

I'm mainly looking at Will, Nicho and Trindall.

I'm not sure he is necessarily running more
Has had some good runs though

R1 4 runs 19m
R2 8 runs 48m
R3 4 runs 27m
R4 6 runs 49m
R6 5 runs 73m

Average runs seems like a ballache to determine (unless someone knows somewhere it is recorded)
but average meters per game is easily available
2024 43m
2023 46m
2022 43m
2021 41m
2020 43m

Obviously round 1 vs a good Warriors pack has a big impact on his current average.

Maybe he is running smarter.

To the pub test he appears to be making breaks / half breaks or at least get into a situation where he could really use a quick support player running through

He noted in his interview with Sam from Sharkcast that he was pushing himself to be better/fitter this year. As a result, he said he has more in the tank later in games than he did previously.

This.

He’s always been average with his decision making but the last couple games he’s been heaps smarter about it
