I think maybe it’s better our guys stay away from this Blues team. I hope this is Freddy’s last year. Slater is schooling him.
The crazy thing is that QLD has a wealth of potential good candidates as future coaches. Slater (current), Smith, Cronk, Thurston, Lockyer. NSW has sweet FA in comparison.

The thing that blows my mind with NSW is that you have someone like Klemmer make his debut when he is young, play well and then not get picked anymore. Or Even Adam Reynolds has played well for years and in his prime barely plays origin. Time and time again they pick players too young and inexperienced and then not pick them when they are actually ready for it.

The way Freddy picks his team is like choosing a hail mary play each time. Guys who aren't fit but did something great once still get a run, experimenting with starting props and utility spots just to see what will happen, putting players out of position because he wants the best players in the team.... the results aren't that surprising really.

Problem is NSW teams are usually picked by the media with a good sprinkle of 'Flavor of the month'... And most of them aren't exactly top shelf Rugby League thinkers.

Please tell me it's true (the whole story, not just the last bit) 🤣
That's how I remember seeing it on the news.

There's a few references online to something similar e.g.
In 1999 he was found passed out in front of the Glebe police station. A police source described the incoherent Fittler as “the drunkest human being ever.”

Didn't remember the whole Gower in a golf resort antics. Pretty funny from afar.

Only way he'll get a run this series is if QLD win game 2 and Freddy decides to use G3 to build for the future

Brailz was one of our better players first half - terrible second half like most our team. Was pretty funny that ball bouncing over his head from the kickoff though him being our shortest player
