A.Snowden - well while were at it then why don't we just run off and sign any old backs... so we have them?

Hell throw Taulima Tautai another contract to play in the centres.

Except we didn't sign any old back. We signed a young kid with plenty of potential.

That was something I noticed too. We haven't had a centre that could do that for ages. Has to be more dangerous than what we've been doing.

He and beau are a very good combination on the right edge, very skillfull and beau will be set up for his share of tries. Add to this that Todd attacks down the right side.

If that was his highlights package I remain unimpressed, even Poms could have one that looks as good as that.

Will give him the benefit of the doubt though.

Welcome to the Sharks Mr Ayshford, all the best for next season!

Iam happy about this signing. I think he's a good player and definately better than anything we've got at he moment which is the main thing. There's not much on the market.
For those confused he's definately a Flanno preferred centre. Big and tall. Flanno likes what he likes.
I guess this means we won't be signing Simona as some are saying.

Personally, im pretty happy with this. A lot of my friends (we might not be for much longer, lol) are tigs supporters so I watch a lot of their games, and I think he's an above average player, and still young so hopefully we can develop him and get him to an even higher lvl.

He can tackle and he can catch. thats an upgrade already on what we had.

I dont think theres any need for negativity in regards to this signing. Yes, we'd all love to have a centre pairing of Inglis and Lyon, but it aint gonna happen. Baby steps ppl.

Lets welcome Blake on board, and wait til he's had a run in the black, blue and white before the knives come out.

I didnt think Gibbs was a great signing, nor Morris. Gibbs has turned out well above my expectations, and morris is our #1 hooker without question, and both have been better players for the sharks than they were for tigers. So chin up kids, weve at least got a first grade centre pairing now.

Good centre. Not a very good 5/8 - which is why he wasn't great last year. In the centres outside Carney he will be a dangerous player.

Not a bad signing. At least he isn't 30. Should add some competitiveness in the centres with Leutele, Wright and whoever else we pick up.

My point is the reason people were complaining / querying isn't based on no reason at all.

It's questioning who the targets are.

I'm a bit shocked about the signing it came out of nowhere. I think it is a good signing though. He offers so much more then Pomeroy in every aspect oft he game.

A huge positive that i'm bringing out of this is his pre existing combination with Beau. I think we really lack in this area both defensively and offensively and I really think it will add a lot to our right side attack with Carney there as well.

Pretty happy with the signing. Was checking him out on friday night (in a totally non homosexual way). Looks to have matured and doesnt look like a tall 10 year old boy anymore. Is a good height and with a bit of bulk up with be Pomeroy with real fingers. And a bit more skill.

Hopefully come round 1 he is our number 2 Centre behind someone else new. If we keep Feki (is he here next year?) Gordon, Feki, Ayshford, 'new centre', Ryan would be alot better than any team that has you know who in it

Also love that he is an ex Tiger.

Seems tigers let plenty of talent walk out in order to sign or re-sign a few players.

We got Fifita and people werent too fussed because of his so called laziness and crabbing at the time, we more of less got him as a combo with Gibbs, Fifita being the '**** guy' in the deal. Now he is being spoken of as the best prop in the game.

Tigers can get rid of all their players they want, if they are good enough to boost our roster in a good way, not just make up numbers, take them, the public or Tigers fans can comment all they want, thats how footy is these days, its about the first grade roster, not how you get it.

Happy with this signing.

Ayshford is an upgrade on Pomeroy and from the look of it the Tigers will be paying some of his contract.

This also gives us competition for the two center positions next year with Leutele, Ayshford and J.Wright all fighting for them. Competition for an outside back position, when have Sharks fans had to experience that haha.

Not at all excited about this. So next year we'll likely have Ayshford, Jono, Beau and Gordon taking up four spots in our backline. Yeah, all decent, solid enough players but which one of them is going to bust a game open? None of them. Unless we sign some of the other players we're rumoured to be chasing (and let's face it, Simona is unlikely now) I guess it'll be more of the same next year. Boring.
