As frustrating as our current problems are I see a bigger problem looming on the horizon. Besides two rookies, who have we signed for next year??? Who have we even been linked to??? Nobody. And if we take a look at whats left on the market I wouldnt be getting to excited. When are we going to sign a marque player like every other team seems to do? Can somebody tell me why we havnt thrown a heap of cash at Israel Falou? Surely we have some ****ing cash to spend. This club makes some dumb decisions (this is no jibe at Ricky because he is only coaching what was presented to him) but look at the Ross contract debacle, the signing of Hannay/Seymour/Stephenson, the resigning of Kingston for two years???? These are only my opinions but I dont see any rookies bursting onto the scene from our lower grades just yet. WTF is going on. Please unleash your ideas people.

I agree they both have so much potential and natural talent. They are future players we can build our club around.

Sticky isn't signing on hype he signs on if they can play the game.

I dont think Chris Walker is the answer Scott14. I still think that he has defence/attidude problems that can never be resolved. And as for Kingston, Im of the opinion that it was a giant mistake. Yes it may be controversial but really, what does the guy offer in our already blunt attack. Most of the top teams have either a crafty/skillful hooker or an explosive/nippy type that can get their teams on a roll. Dont get me completly wrong, Kingston is a great defender and I'm sure he's a great bloke but I see him as a weakness. I really dont know why we didnt jump at the chance to sign PJ Marsh instead of resigning Kingston. Can anybody really tell me that Kingston is better than PJ? And I wish to repeat WHY DONT WE THROW A HEAP OF CASH AT FALOU??? As far as I know he is still on the market and the last time I looked money talks.

We have a great team of young players that need experience so there is no need to go buying big.

Our front row is a concern as it really can win or lose you games.

We just need a good fully cohesive pre season with Ricky and the club will do well.

This year we were going to struggle BUT at least, with the exception of the first Souths game, all our losses have been one handful of points.

We are now a competitive club. The next step is to come.

thats true we have to try and keep most of these blokes together but buy those couple of big name players and we'll be right and if we cn keep most of these players well be a real force in years to come
