A random shot of Gavin Miller destroying Brisbane in the '89 play off for 5th made me remember that game. It was probably the best performance ever by a Sharks side. Hopefully they can emulate it tonight. Unfortunately being a midweek game it really debilitated them for the weekend semi against the Raiders. they faded at the end of either half and got beat. I remember Sterlo( I think) saying that whoever won that game would win the comp. Canberra did of course.
A coupleof times we knocked out the Bronco's '96? and 99 also stand out.
Bulldogs, was that 2001?
I also believe the 73 GF loss was great heroic performance. As a massive underdogs we literally put up a huge fight.
Hopefully they can put in a couple of classic underdog performances the next two weeks.

i remember that brisbane game well - it was a top performance. i was at that dogs semi - what a day. there was a game in the mid 80s regular season against para; they scored first but we retaliated almost immediately and from then on it was one of the best games you could ever hope to see. we won something like 24-22, the attack and defence from both sides that day was absolutely champagne stuff. on monday a journo wrote that perhaps a draw would have been the fairest result but nuts to that - it was the best sharkies win i've ever seen (unfortunately via tv). i don't care what sort of win it is tonight, anything will do. go sharks.
