Here we go with another "Sharks best of" post, my thanks to @Gumby for his request.

This time it is fullbacks and here is the list. Again I have based my list on those who played more than 10 games.

I know there are some players who might have played fullback as well as wing or centre but I've written the list for those who predominantly played as fullback. But feel free to nominate others I haven't.

Give me your best 5.

Brian Cox
Gordon Abercrombie
Les Bell
Warren Fisher
Mick Mullane
Jonathan Docking
Kurt Wrigley
Ben Sammut
David Peachey
Brett Kearney
Nathan Gardner
Michael Gordon
Ben Barba
Will Kennedy

Love this one!

In no particular order & from who i have seen play live, i'm going with.

1. Peachey
2. Barba
3. Gardner (really thought he would have kicked on & been a 10 season player for us).
4. Brett Kearney (very underrated player for us imo).
5. Holmes

I’ve only seen 7 of these play (2 that didn’t make my list were Gordon and Gardener, though I did love snippets of Gardener, shame about his injuries)

1. Barba
2. Peachey
3. Holmes
4. Kennedy
5. Kearney

Bro when Gardner turned up that kid was a ****ing weapon! Rated that kid very highly until everything went pear shaped for him.

I remember Ricky Bourke as a fullback more than at wing , particularly his try in 1973 GF.

Again I got to go with who i’ve seen with my own two eyes, so sorry to guys like Docking.

1. Peachey (My fullback growing up, I mean what needs to be said really, he’s head and shoulders above the pack)
2. Barba (Such a shame he pissed it away in a bag of coke. Our only premiership winning fullback and my god what a key part of that he was, just wish he didn’t **** up and was with us a lot longer)
3. Gordon (Might be a bit of a surprise but I felt he was solid as a rock for us, not the most exciting fullback but very dependable and led us well from the back)
4. Kennedy (Has had an up and down career with us, but I’ve been behind this guy for many years now, one of the best and most reliable fullbacks under a high ball in the league today, ask me again in two or three years and its likely Kennedy might move up a spot or two on this list, still early days for him)
5. Kearney (Underrated as hell, I remember he came to us as a struggling half who got cut from the bottom of the barrel Bunnies during their rock bottom period, made the move to fullback and found his niche. Such a fantastic ball runner and became super reliable under the high ball)

I really wanted to put Gardner on this list, I remember him exploding onto the scene, but to me he is wasted potential, not entirely his fault. I was there when he snapped his leg and I was there the following week when the injury was horribly mismanaged and he injured it further. Something that Flanno and medical staff never really answered for. Such a shame.

EDIT: I forgot about Val Holmes. I’d have him as a toss up between him and Kearney for 5th on the list.

You're game starting another of these threads, mate ;)

I won't have the experience of seeing as many of these guys run around as some here, but I always enjoyed watching Jocko.
For pure impact on the team, I almost can't go past Barber. Sure The Peach was a freak for his time, but our 2016 team was mainly rated as very solid with a few big moments, and Barber felt like the x-factor. He was like our Slater.
