Ryan loves a grubber, and he's not bad at it. That's a good threat for a winger to have, even if he doesn't do it much.

Oh my mistake. Thought it was done ! Great news for the club though. I'd prefer to keep smith though instead of heighington but :(

Agreed, but I wanna see him happy! He wants to stay here but needs to do what's best for his family

Yeah your right mate. A real shame though. Wish him all the best in his future.

We are letting a 32-33 year old declining smith go, replacing him with one of the best backrowers in the world in his prime at age 29 in Lewis and with the loss of the ageing backrower we get a cheaper younger (but not as good) one in the rhino and a young above average solid player who can play anywhere 1-5 in Ryan.

Seems pretty good to me!

we will lose a little bit of sting in defence with smith gone, but lewy will more than make up for that in attack

"Both Manly and Wests Tigers are rumoured to have salary cap problems, with NRL salary cap auditor Ian Schubert reportedly refusing to register Sea Eagles fullback Brett Stewart‘s new contract until the club resolves the problem"

Be tempting to forget about Rhino and Ryan and go for Brett Stewart. He's a bit of a nob though and has some serious questions over how well his legs will hold up mid to long term

Lewis can be brutal in defence.

And his attack will make up for it. Let's out score the opponent for once instead of out-defending them IMO
dont get me wrong dude but smith is brutal and lewy is a great defender but not in the same league of hurt, but twice the attacker that smith is and this is what we have been lacking...attacking options

Smith is a better defender in the ruck but Lewis definitely hurts people when tackling.

I hope we don't get Heighington and Gallen can play 80 minute of tight back row and do what Jez was doing.
