Godforbid that he doesnt get injured. but it has to be in the back of sharks supporters minds that he does have a bad record when it comes to injuries and game time in the NRL.

now i didnt watch much of him over in the super league. can anyone inform me if he got injured over there?

He did get injured last season, but I think from memory he played Approx 75 -80% of the matches, but Remember the super league season is almost 2 months longer than the NRL.

There's a thread on LU somewhere where a guy has done some research and shown that this Barrett = Injury prone comment is a myth. Anyone remember reading that?

Your are correct Buz. I read that also and it was interesting that his injury time was really pretty low

That surprises me. I always had Barrett in the heart muscle pulling category. He along with Ryles, Timmins and Gasnier seemed to always pull out at the last minute with some minor ailment.

yeah, i think its just because the dragons supporters throw a tantrum whenever they have anyone get hurt, everyone else just absorbs the idea that they all used to "do a heartlidge" every 5mins.

haha.
i just remembered the old "tampon" joke.

he has spent a bit of time on the sidelines, suspended for sloppy high tackles, which is what i would be more worried about.

They used to say the same about our Coach. I remember as a kid recycling the tampon joke about Stuart and I was too young to even understand it. Got a laugh though, so thats the main thing.

I think when he was at the Dragons, it was more the timing of his injuries, not that injuries come at any good time, but Barrett also seemed to get injuries when all their other stars did too. Let's just hope 2 soft seasons in ESL, has helped his body recover from years of NRL.

Lets hope after 2 soft seasons in the ESL, he hasn't forgotten how to play in the NRL

i was reading in a news paper article from england and it was an interview with trent and he said "im less injury prone now" so i guess thats a positive because he know what his body can handle.

thanks for replying

peachy its not that he is soft, it is that he has had a couple of injuries in his career that have put him out of a fair few games. people asume he is soft because he is injury prone

i remeber theres a guy at the raiders whos a great prop but people think hes soft because when he gets injerys hes out for a while. But all his injerys have been like really bad. Like broken arm ligiment damage all the works so dont say someone is soft because they get injered all the time.

to be fair to weyman, half the games he misses are through suspension. although he does miss a lot of games
lehroy-lahrs also misses a few through injury and suspension
