Ball Hogs

As a neutral fan and watching the game tonight (I have a soft spot for the Sharks) I have noticed that some players at Cronulla are just ball hogs.

When it's 5 against 3 they either turn the ball back into the ruck or actually just throw it to a forward.

Can they pass left to right? I don't understand, they have some great set plays but just prefer to run by themselves. I can name names, but whats the point, you all should know who I'm talking about.

Ben Pomeroy is the sharks best back (Kearney is up there too) yet he is always a decoy runner and never gets the ball as much as others.

Thoughts?

i guess it has to do with their grinding style of football they play, hey its bin successful up until this week

no i thihey pass it around a lot..but they go nowhere

kearney is awesome tonight he set up all our attacking play and scored a try out of nothing (wouldnt have bin nothing had millington not frozen) simmons actually ran at that last kick did u see his speed? hasnt run that fast since his glory days

We only start playing football when we are either miles in front (which is bloody rare) or we are playing catch up. I hate to agree with Gus Gould but he is right we play ugly and we only look dangerous when we play off the top of our heads. I think maybe Ricky is over coaching them with no room to chance our arm.

simmo has no f*cking idea how to pass to misi..when spreading the ball to get misi into a gap the imbecile decides to cut back in

gallen can sometimes hog it when he should pass..same goes with fraser anderson (who also needs to HTFU and run like a man)

I agree with you, Peachey, but I'll try this week not to bash Simmons this week. Well no more than usual that is. He got his customary pass to Misi (from right to left I might add) and that was it.

Anyway, I never felt we were going to score points early in the second half. That mindset saved me from any disappointment. However when we started throwing the ball around and playing with seemingly more instinct, I was sure we were going to win eventually.

Less predictability. That's the key it seems.

Let's hope we finally belt a team next week.
