Great game, and effort from our boys, but it confirms to me that flanno has learnt nothing whilst away and cant coach for ****. Adam Reynolds put it deep every single game, and we didnt have gards/holmes sitting back waiting for it all game, hence we kept giving them ball. for me that is 101-type stuff and flanno should have picked it, at the least after the first half.
lol thank god you weren't coaching
Like sutty said it would give them a free over lap
You didn't stop to think why no other team had someone sitting at the back in any of the games played over the last 2 competitions did you

We weren't robbed. Adam Reynolds just kept us in our own half with a brilliant kicking display.

Though I think that penalty against feki going up for the bomb was BS

LOL - and that was the perfect example of us being robbed. If we were allowed to play on, we would've won IMO

I though we played well. Only so much you can defend against.

A pity with some of those calls but it's over now.

The guy's can hold their heads high, even the commentators gave us no hope, but we showed them. How come we did n't get our runners up medals. ?

Unlucky in the end, looking forward to this year now.

I agree with Bird/Jolmes on one side but we have to go with Leutele/ Feki.

Yeah, the thing I liked about our youngsters is they just *are* winners. Those last few minutes of Holmes drawing the centre and passing to Bird, and then moving even further to the sideline and nailing the dropkick conversion. They just have *IT*.

Screw it, move Beale to left centre and line up Bird and Holmes on the right, no worries.

Sorry, a few too many beers watching the game!
I meant to also say that Beale couldn't tackle a hot lunch.
Bird, even though young looks like he is ready given the oppotunity.
Also very happy with the way Murphy looked in his game time.

Devestated we lost, even if it was the 9's. Just wanted to win something. They defended like superheroes though. Better then anything they dished up last season. Very encouraging. Hell even if Ayshford was brilliant.

Beale's lack of defense is what the Dragons dribblers that I know were keen to tell me about. I guess defending next to Robson on the left, who is a strong defender, would help.

I dont mean for the whole set clearly, but when theyre on the 4th and reynolds has been putting it long all day surely it makes sense for someone to drop back, or at least be thinking about it and in the position to get back quickly if required. They caught us out on nearly every set with it, and yes I think other coaches/teams would have at least attempted to address that.
Perhaps im wrong though, and the best way to win games is to keep handing the ball back to the other team for repeat sets.

I really don't know who I'd put in my starting backline now. Pretty much every position from 1-7 is up for grabs. Even though it's just nines, that tournament really just made me more confused. lol

Barba will probably be the number 6, but there are other options too which is nice.
