I always liked Chad and thought he was a better option than Robbo but the idea of him at hooker is laughable.

He is a solid no frills player with a pretty good kicking game and decent in other areas.

I would like to see him succeed at the Warriors and I hope that happens.

IMO he has the potential to go on to be a good club halfback but no more than that.

Cheers mate , it's probably not too dissimilar to what happens here and at other clubs , Isaac John was rubbished here , all seemed vindicated when he couldn't make it in First grade in the ESL for Wakefield ! People laughed when Cleary brought him back for the Panthers , last year he was a first team regular and played pretty well.
Townsend certainly looks to be going all out for his shot.

Interestingly him and Bukuya are said to be the Fittest players at training , that says a lot about the Sharks in a positive light.

He arrived and started leading training drills fromt he outset , him and Dane Neilson while the Warriors WC players were away.

Townsend whether you rate him or not has taken on a leadership role since arriving and has been training the house down like a man possessed.

Pita Godinet asked for a release not long after Chad arrived and started doing his thing , I'm not saying the two things are related but it makes sense.

Training the house down huh. If he turns out to be a good 80 minute hooker it will kill half the blokes on here. It won't happen though.

dont worry I started a thread about my greyhounds... It turned into a barrage of abuse hurled my way, they are a pack of wankers...

What i find odd about Townsend, and no offence to the bloke as i wish all past players well at new clubs, but when an article mentions Townsend goes to a new club and is training the house down, and taking a leadership role………i heard all that when he was at the Sharks too. You can be as president of the team as you want, but if you arent able to turn that into W's on the weekend, it means nothing. He will be the same player over there as he was here

Pre-season hype. How many time have we heard that Tupou was going to have another break out year, almost every preseason. It's a welcome change to have positive talk about football instead of scandals.
