Who is going to train them properly though? Flanno and chins will be in NZ
Fair point I guess. We should be throwing the bare minimum at the nines though. Normally I'm all for the success breeds success angle but next year has too much at stake. We dropped the first four and still should have finished top four (it was in our hands).

Imagine what a 3 from 4 would do for a start to the season. This is what needs to happen next year, set the tone early.

the 9's had no impact on our season

we were a flanno selection away from winning round 1, and a wade graham brain snap away from beating the tits

i want to win the 9's

i want all the money we can get our hands on

we nearly won it without barba and gal, go one better next year

Still can't believe how crap the prize money for winning minor premiership...

Agree, also to finish 1st over2nd is nothing advantageous other than getting the pissy prize money & the shield you keep for the year, needs to be more in it, I cant see how nothing but increasing the prize money can be done to make it more sought after.

Pretty much every teams goal first & foremost is to get to the 8 each year, then the next goal is top 4, most sides are happy enough to get the coveted top 4 spot & then the second part of the season kicks off for them.

this might be a stupid question but when we tied for the minor premiership in 2008 with manly and melbourne, would that have been split between 3? or does the prize money soley go to finished on 1 with the best f/a

it was 100k when we won it in 99. Given the amount of money the nrl has the minor premiership should be 1 million

I reckon 500-600k k would be fair enough.

Nah I think a $1m is about right. You deserve a big reward for being the best team all year.

If only it was first past the post like in many soccer leagues we'd have won a premiership by now.
