Korbin Sims is still under contract.

I'm a big Shuan Fensom fan. I'd take him as an upgrade over Paulo, but another big body in the middle is the priority.

Not including a hooker we need 9 forwards on game day. Currently for 2017 we have these guys. I'd be looking at upgrading the bold ones. If we sign Farah it changes the dynamic, because we don't need carry a hooker on the bench (we probably would if we are starting with some combination of Brown, Cherrington, or Brailey).

Fifita / Prior / Gallen / Lewis / Graham / Bukuya / JSL / Capewell / Paulo

Not sure Fensom fits the Sharks mould. We tend to share the tackling around rather than picking tackling machines. Would be better suited to Newcastle who are rumoured to be into him.

I heard the Canberra CEO speak the other day and without saying anything explicit he indicated that Fensom and Vaughn would be allowed to walk at season's end. Sticky doesn't like giving much up but they're both too good to be in reserve grade. If Vaughn is gettable then he should be our main priority. Balances out our age profile and would be a huge success here. Would offer similar mobility to Heighno but younger and more powerful.

We need another large, dominant prop as well. If Jordan McLean is gettable then he would be excellent.

I think paulo gets a bad rap, I like his game comes on does his job trots off sings the song with real gusto.... After watching NRL 360 and the Farah discussion with ennis and benji I'd be surprised if he doesn't end up with us.

Hope so. But I think what we have is somewhat underrated.

I'd take Taylor for sure.

Nope to Farrah. Rather we look at developing talent than bringing in a short term option.

Not being a dick but is there any reason you cant do both?

Fact is aside from props and hooker we have a side worthy of contending next year. If we get farah on a 1 year deal we can be right up there and slowly bring in nu/brailey. Then we can rebuild from 2018.

seggy would be a better option however im hearing he has a done deal with dragons...
I'm also sure that Ennis is trying to get a gig on our coaching team next year to help cherrington and brailey boys....

I hope that 2nd line is true and comes to fruition.

I feel we can do both, a good hooker in farah for a year while we develop and blood the up and comers at the same time

We are developing the talent, but they won't be ready next season. Bringing in a developed talent short term until the developing talent is ready is the perfect solution. Guaranteed not to wind up standing in their way once they're ready for their opportunity.

While I wouldn't mind Segeyaro, at his age if he performs he will stand in the way of the likes of Brailey. Farrah would not.

Maybe Fifita was caught passing a pen to Segyaro..

Aslong as Norman didn't have it first. If so its probably filled with stuff that can write you off and it ain't ink.

I think with Nu/Cherrington and the Braileys, we're better off putting our money elsewhere. We have a strong 1,6,7, and two very creative edge forwards in the side, both with a kicking game, not to mention our 5/8 playing centre. We're going to miss Ennis hugely, but making up for that lost contribution will be the job of the whole team next year. The new 9 won't be able to do it no matter who they, such has been the impact of Ennis in this side.

My point is replacing Ennis next year can't be done IMO, so let's not look to Farah to achieve that.

Towing the Flanno line there

I think a lot hinges on our result this year. If we win I think we can all abide a building year or two int the 9 by Nu and others. If we don't win everyone wil be resetting for a premiership and anything but signing an 80m dominant 9 will be considered apathetic

Is Jake Granville a superstar? Not really. The cows won the Comp with him last year. It all comes down to strength across the spine, and 3 out of 4 will do generally.

Ahhh .. but they have Kostjasyn. You need a very good 80 minute hooker or a solid pair.

Very true. Either Nu or Cherrington will work out IMO, but considering their age, probably not both of them. So we possibly need another solid, mature 9. Doesn't have to be a superstar.
