There was some talk about Mansour in here last week. I'm going to say 'pass' as we will need the coin to try and keep Bird and Val. I think paying up for Mansour could leave us a bit skinny in other areas.

Mansour would be a stupid purchase. Look at Newcastle to see what happens when you fork out big bucks for a bloke who is good for nothing but playing wing.

He would be a stupid putchase if he is asking anything like what uate is on. I dont think any winger is worth it, be interesting to see what he shops himself around asking. Unless its a fullback in waiting type

I don't reckon he'll come cheap and I don't see anything but a career on the wing.

Exactly. Then pass.

We're half way through a season and our back 3 have 11,9 and 8 tries. We dont need to spend the bank on a winger. But if u can get improvements for good value u do it.

Im happy with feki now hes had beale giving him the ball. Ricky was really slowing down the attack

Would Fensom be a suitable person to look at, Bateman looks great coming through but he would probably want to stay?
Good replacement for Gallen, not flashy but solid as **** in defense and doesn't need a lot of development.
Seems to be on the outer

Realistically no team is going to release a top 17 player unless they are getting someone in return, or they need to shed cap space. Cant see it working out this year with vaughan or matulino but we should be working on both for next year.

Was Taga a top 17 player when Gold Coast released him to us?

Depends how much. He would probably fill a role similar to what prior is for us at the moment, controlling the ruck and defending the middle. For the right price id have him but he wont help with our front row shortage.

I'm a Fensom fan and yeah I'd want us to sign him. Tremendous work rate.

People will always underestimate defensive players and talk up dudes who look real pretty in hitups but don't do much else (Pauli Pauli for instance).

Fensom being ordinary as a player and him being ordinary this season are 2 very very different things. It doesn't take Einstein to realise that he is a very good player. He has retarded good workrate. I would love to sign Fensom, but if he has like concussion issues showing up this season then that doesn't seem very wise. If his problems are more to do with the Ricky effect then bring him over 100%. He was getting offloads amongst the highest of all players in previous seasons, but he has 0 this season. It might just be that Ricky is making him change his game and it's effecting his form.

Fensom also runs decoys at a high level which helps with backline plays etc.

It all depends on money as Snow said he would fill the Heighington role perfectly. If we could get him for around about the level we have Heighington on (he would be more I imagine) you take him, too much more and you probably don't.

Fensom was a decent player a few years ago but the way the game is these days you need more out of your forwards than what he offers, he's not going to threaten or bend the defensive line at all and his offloading was never anything great other than looking good on a stats page.

Good defender yeah i won't argue that but i don't think he brings anything to this team that improves it at all.
