The point I'm making has nothing to do with what you did, it's about snowmans reaction.

If being brought into posts that have nothing to do with the guy upset him so much that it ruins his day, then maybe he shouldn't do it it others.

IMO, lots of posters here worry too much about recent form. There's a reason its temporary. Two years door knocking and then playing for a rabble haven't taken away Hoppa's class. As I said above, there's every reason to think he'll revert back to his average performance which is worth good money.

Yeah like Ev said, two years is hardly temporary. Remember he played 22 games at Manly and 38 with Parra. Yes I'll give you the fact he had two years out so maybe not much can be read into last year's form but you cannot ignore this year. I can't remember but was he playing outside of Lyon at Manly?

Look he's not a dud but I think he's very overrated based on what I've seen.

With the Poms crashing out of the Rugby World Cup I wonder if Burgess is tempted to come back to the NRL. If he is, how much would people be willing to offer him to get him here?

He has been dropped for their dead rubber against Uruguay too. You'd think that he'd be questioning his decision. Is he on huge money in Rugby?

I'd offer him up to 900k per season if we could find it.

I think the bunnies have may have first and last rights given he's still under contract with them but not sure about that. I'd love to have him but would we have too much tied up in two forwards (Fifita)?

He's an inspirational player, lifts his whole side. The Bunnies pack have looked a bit listless without him.

I'd imagine Dave Smith, the media, Russell Crowe etc would move mountains for him to be playing with Souths if he came back.

basically, if we offer him a million dollars, he has to inform the bunnies how much we offered and how many years, and then they can reply with an offer.

even if they offer 1.5mil he can still reject and sign with us

i wouldnt be offering him a cent at the moment until we have an absolute, world class centre on our books.

I read that the Bath coach has been quoted as saying that Burgess will be signed up/renewed with Rugby with the aim to play at the next world cup as a backrower.
