You'd think they'd certainly back LG over Flanno, it's a no brainer.... right ?
Who'd know, this club loves shooting itself in the foot. The jobs for the boys brigade which is apparently in this club might not like being held accountable for mediocrity.

Yeah, he's written an article about it too.

Could this be the spark that gets it all going?

Fingers crossed the Board back the CEO to the hilt.

While i dont agree with the way flanno has gone about it (neither does lyall) but a swap of gordon for lussick was a very good move.
Dont get caught up in the reporting though, im sure theres more to it than Paul Kent knows

So Kodi Nikorima is off the list. Players are looking to get out of the joint because they can't accept that they are lazy ( as in Tagatese) or sooking because he has to play wing rather than admitting he is aging and out of form ( as in Gordon.) Flanno has a love affair with Robson. We haven't signed a single player that we are excited about for next season.

We are a dead set rabble at times. Something has to give soon. Watch this space. ( I need to hear something exciting soon.)

The only way any player under contract should be leaving the club is by swapping them for a player at the other club. Parra need a fullback that's fine but be prepared to give us one of your forwards in return because that is what we need. If we were swapping Gordon for Lussick that would be fine by me. This BS about players transferring mid season is as bad as the round 12 contract debacle. I'm glad Gorman put his foot down. If we have a run of injuries all three of the players mentioned would be required by our club.
The NRL needs to bite the bullet and only allow this crap to happen at the end of the season. What's happening now is destroying the game.

Chris Sandow may have played last game for Parramatta Eels as player swap goes awry

Date May 12, 2015 - 10:00PM
Adrian Proszenko Chief Rugby League Reporter

Cronulla's backflip on a decision to release Michael Gordon has thwarted a proposed player swap with Parramatta's Darcy Lussick as the Eels prepare to part company with enigmatic halfback Chris Sandow.

Sandow may have played his last game for the blue and golds after again being dropped to Wentworthville due to inconsistent form. The former South Sydney playmaker is coming to the end of a four-year deal worth about $550,000 per season and was hoping to extend his stay at the club. However, the latest setback has all but ended his chances of a new contract and raised fresh questions about his NRL future.

Sandow won the Ken Thornett medal last year, the award bestowed on the player's player in a season in which the Eels finished just one win shy of a playoff appearance. While the 26 year old has shown glimpses of his best form in 2015, coach Brad Arthur is frustrated he hasn't been able to reproduce it regularly.

Sandow was also involved in off-field drama when he test drove a Holden car with a view to potentially buying it before Parramatta's loss to Melbourne on Sunday. After crashing the car in an industrial area, Sandow contacted the sellers to inform them of the incident and let them know he needed to leave the scene to ensure he made it to the game on time. Sandow's axing is related to form and not the incident.

"The club has spoken to Chris and his management and we are satisfied with the information they have provided to us," a Parramatta spokesperson said. "We will be taking no further action at this stage."

Eels officials have been in negotiations with Sandow's management about an extension but at at no point has a written offer been tabled. While their big-name halves recruit for next year is Kieran Foran, powerbrokers have spent recent weeks scouring the market for an immediate solution in the hope of salvaging their 2015 campaign. The Eels had hoped Brisbane's Ashley Taylor may be available before the June 30 transfer window shut, but the Broncos have decided not to release the Junior Kangaroos halfback.

Another player who won't be making the switch to Parramatta is Gordon. As revealed by Fairfax Media, the Eels believe they had settled on a replacement for Jarryd Hayne in the Sharks fullback. It's understood the Eels have proof that they were given permission to negotiate and that the deal was all but done until Cronulla CEO Lyall Gorman put a stop to it. In a further twist, Gordon was set to be part of a player swap with Eels forward Darcy Lussick. In a move which has heightened tensions between the sides, Fairfax Media has been told the move was torpedoed by the Sharks only after Lussick was hit with four-game suspension for a high shot on Roosters forward Jared Waerea-Hargreaves. He isn't available until round 13, while an ankle injury will sideline fellow forward David Gower for Saturday's clash with the Warriors.

Gordon, who was set to play for the Eels against the Storm, was furious the deal was kyboshed at the last minute and there are reports he pulled out of Cronulla's loss to the Warriors in protest. The former NSW representative has won consecutive Monty Porter player of the year awards but is yet to be tabled a contract extension, while the Eels are only interested in recruiting him if he is available immediately.

So, maybe we just stopped the deal because the player we were meant to be getting was going to be out for a month?

Maybe the deal could be back on for Sandow instead of Lussick..

That explanation for the car crash is acceptable enough to allow us to sign him.

I wish it was this simple

Taga (who doesn't want to be here) to Roosters, we get Hastings (we need a half)

Flash to Parra (gets his 2016 contract as well) for Lussick, who I am still yet to be convinced he is ok as he is a hot head but for the minutes we are playing Taga he would probably be more useful to us

Do you think its also $$$$ or our cap that is stopping the above happening or is it purely Flano & LG butting heads? (assuming Hastings would be willing to be a shark)

Is Hastings any good or is it's just his pedigree surname ?
What does he bring to the table ?
Express running game , making line breaks at will ,
Exemplary long and short kicking game
Defensively sound
The ability to play what's in front of him and create breaks for others .
Just asking the masses , is he any good ?

Looks like Todd Carney will be in Eels colours next year as a number 7, a few hurdles to jump with the NRL and his French club but negotiations well under way.
