Sandow, need someone who can create and kick us out of trouble, sandow can do both, he will be a cult figure, when was the last time a shark did a chip and chase mid field? We need some unpredictability to our play on the back of the grinding style supercoach likes us to play.

We have metre eaters with ball in hand but can't defend up the middle, we're all of a sudden also going to be lacking Locks (Gallen/Lewis in Origin, Heighington suspended, Tupou/Arona? injured).

I'd offer Tim Robinson a nothing contract to play at Lock and just have him tackle all day.

Don't know about a steal. That implies he's worth around 750k to 800k which i don't agree with.

I think in the context of the halves market it is coupled with our current halves situation it would be for us.

Hodkinson and Maloney are attracting close to 800k and Townsend is reportedly looking for about 400k.

If we were to land sandow for close to or a bit less than Todd's worth I think most would consider than a great outcome.
It's not necessarily about his value as a player, it's about the value to us in comparison to the other options around.

Don't get me wrong, I like Sandow and would be happy to see him here. 650k is about right, I can't see any other clubs paying more than that. The issue I would have if we paid more is the difference between his best and worst form. It's massive. We need to start giving Murphy game time now to see what he's got. A Sandow/Murphy halves combo could work well.

We should pursue Sam Hoares at the Cows and those Nikorimas for a start and Adam Docker at Penrith

Can't disagree with that, it really would be vital to pair him with someone strong to take the pressure off him.
He's almost a less skillful SJ in regards to consistency, really needs that 6 to pick up the slack when he is off.

You also have to worry about our coach. Would he allow Sandow to play his natural game?

FROM THE OTHER FORUMs GO TO MAN - I don't personally agree with a lot of it - Inris (too many mental issues and busted ), Holmes , Feki and I am light on the Chad love . Murphy could trump them all .

Idris is exactly the type of footballer that we need to sign. He is young, talented and has commercial factor about him. He also fits our type of centre, strong and robust and capable of making meters.
If there is a remote chance, we need to sign him.
Bird needs to go to the centres next year as well. Which would mean putting Beale on the wing.
Gagan, if fit, for the other spot. I like Feki, but apart from kick returns, he doesn't offer much.

Chad is a done deal, despite a plea from the Warriors to stay. He is an upgrade on Robbo but we need another halves partner for him. I do however, feel that Chad could allow another shot for BB to play 5/8, as we would actually have a half capable of kicking long, and organising. I watched Chad very closely on Saturday night and whilst he isn't amazing, he leads a kick chase well, and can kick long.

My actual preference would be to sign Chad and Sandow and admit defeat with Barba and release him, even if we have to take a cap hit. Brisbane are still paying a chunk of his salary next year and it would only be 2017 that would hurt us.

Chad and Sandow would provide us with 2 kickers either side of the ruck and a bit of creativity.

And I will go against popular opinion, but I am not convinced about Holmes at fullback yet. He hasn't scored an NRL try from fullback, and his main breaks have come from the wing. Next year I feel will be his better year for us.

Rumours going around that Gordon and Flanno have fallen out over Gordon not wanting to play on the wing.
Parra want him for this year and next, so if we have a chance to make a trade and get Lussick from them, I would pack Gordon's bags for him.

Nu Brown is targeting a round 20 comeback, which would also ease some pressure on the team.

Idris is the right centre we need imo. Rarely out of form in ways but physically and mentally he is a liability.

We secure Sandow and our attack improves a big load.

The guy is always on the attack and looking to create at all opportunities. I'd love him at the Shire.

Honest question: Sandow divides public opinion. Would Sharks fans accept and come to live him (assuming he performed okay)?

Given the distance on some of the kicks Robbo puts in, they may as well be classified a “chip”

As a person, sure, couldn't care less.

As a player, no, he's junk.

If he plays well, of course, imo, for a half he lacks composure or making the right call as much as any of the bad halves running around, especially when the team is under the pump, on his day he is very good, he is a edge of your seat type of player.
