sigh, looks he's probably a slight upgrade on Robbo in that he has a kicking game, but there's no chance we'll be a Top 4 team with him at halfback. Very unexciting signing and I presume you mean Kane Elgey ?

I see chad as a cheaper option to hodko, I really don't rate hodko, he probably has a slightly better kicking game then chad but chad had better try assist and line break stats per game then what hodko did last year.
The point of this post is that I don't want either but if we are going to sign someone we may as well sign a similar bloke for half the price.
The rumoured money being thrown at hodko is a complete waste imo, I don't see the point in paying someone that amount of money because they have a kicking game
Throw that money at Sandow, someone who won't play to flannos stupid structure, just like carney didn't

Saw him play the other night. He has some talent thats for sure.
We arent gunna get the nrls finest but that doesnt mean theres not other avenues worth exploring
Is the Chad thing confirmed?
He seems to be going ok for the Warriors, getting through the opposition line etc
but watching him the other day he wrecked a few tries that he had created with a poor last pass or wrong receiver option.

Chad is looking like a compotent footballer in a good Warriors team. If we rely on him in the 7 next year we are ****ed

Yeah if we get him we still need a quality 7. If we get him to be a 7, we will struggle still

i would say the same about hodko, 10 try assists in 25 games given the dogs success is garbage, we need more then a good kicker

I dont think thats the case. Chad is able to play because of Johnson.
Hodko is already the leader and he is a composed 5th tackle kicker. We have players like Barba and Holmes who can create the play

He'd go ok in our team at 7. He can provide a much better kick than Robson and He would be working with a spine consisting of Ennis, Barba and Holmes. there's some decent potential there.
Thats because the style of play the dogs use.
You can't always use stats in stuff like that. His kicking and goal kicking and defence is solid across the board.
Why do we need an attacking half with players like Barba and Holmes around him?

That's assuming barba comes good and you can't expect a first year fullback to be the main man creating everything. Hodkinson would need to bring more than a kicking game to this club.
Upgrade but is it worth huge money with the way we play ?

just to add onto this, I've heard des uses this style of play because of his concern about the lack of creativity from the dogs halves
Might explain why the dogs only offered him 500k to stay
