We are back to the 2009/2010 days.
Seriously. No sponsor, a coach under pressure and not real lure to come here.
It will be about recruiting squad players again to remain afloat unless a miracle happens.
Hodkinson rejected a huge offer from us. Maloneys manager won't return our calls. Sezer isn't keen. Sandow will re-sign.
TC is not going to come back. Our actual best shot at a halfback is Albert Kelly, who is starting to look like he is eating Owen Craigie.
Even Chad Townsend doesn't want to return.
Tough times ahead. We face the very real prospect of fighting off a low finish in our 50th season instead of aiming for a premiership.

I almost think this is good. Getting one of these guys would just be a bandaid in some respects. We need to look at more than just chucking in a half with a couple of years left. It might actually force us to take a good hard look at ourselves.
Also, we can't have two modern day Owen Craigies in the team.
Lol at not being able to get Chad, note for next time- It might be an idea to back the youth.

no nit picking required. Hisense was on a reduced rate but it was still there we werent sponsorless ever (except between sponsors). Our situation today is totally different. However, if that situation arose today, i doubt hisense would have got the real estate on the jersey.
not to mention it doesnt sound like Flanno is under pressure from his bosses

I'm glad we're not signing big names. Our past good seasons didn't involve importing big names, admittedly no trophy a won. Townsend is a lesson and I think Lichaa will be too. If you're going to back a young half you need to give them a couple of seasons. The warriors have done it with Townsend and now it's paying off.
Does Flanno believe he can pick a future prospect or does he accept he can't and needs to hire someone who can? The answer to this question is a crucial starting point.
