People have been saying we need another prop. I'd take Tamou over Prior any day of the week. Not for 500K though, no thank you. I doubt people here would certify him as ​genuine harmen

Modern game played by player managers, they know manly will have Coin if they lose dce or Foran more if both go, they need more grunt up the middle, there is no doubt tamou will get a upgraded contract if he flies South. Not that many of us agree, certainly a damaging player wouldn't surprise me if he gets chased for 700k

Yeah. That is a hard one in a way. The salary cap is half as much again compared with a couple of years ago.

I do have a tendency to remember outstanding performances and forget about the times a player goes missing. I have some kind of inbuilt thing where I do remember a player at their best which clouds my judgement.

The question I guess is what is a top prop worth these days. It isn't Wayne Bennett's 300k that is for sure. And it isn't anywhere near 800k. I don't know that 500k is that far fetched.

Yep I agree ye south of the border one. No way he's leaving for 500k. When all else fails there's always Ricky.

If it's true he wants out, I expect him to have a good year this year to ensure he gets decent money still next year, if he has a bludger of a year no one will touch him

I think Val on the wing for the next 4-5 years would be a waste though, assuming Barba is here for that long. I think Barba will do well at 5/8 next to a decent half, not sure how he will go with a spud like Robbo so I won't judge him too harshly this year. I have also heard others in here who have seen a lot more of Val than me suggest he could make a good 5/8 one day, so between him and Barba you would think we're set there. To me there's no point in buying a 5/8, complete waste of resources imo.

He would be a waste on wing and there is little point buying a 5/8, was just saying if for some reason it happened we could make it work for us

Tamou is like Tony Williams. Both massive, skillful units but got no mongrel and pea-hearts. Somehow they're both rep players with hefty price tags.

Whatever the opposite of harmen is, that is Tamou. A massive cat that only occasionally comes out of his bag. Has no place playing alongside tough nuts like Robbo who always give it their all+
