We should go for it, why the **** not? There's no real reason at all why Cronulla can't start trying to their feet into the Blacktown area, where there is a large multicultural and fairly recent Sudanese-refugee population around. Generally soccer and basketball seem to be growing the fastest, but it's worth a go. It's nowhere near Cronulla, but *meh*, it's not like Penrith and Blacktown are the same thing like Phil Gould likes to suggest.
Just looking at our current player list: David & Andrew Fifita, Wade Graham, Luke Lewis, Siosaia Vave, Paul Simona are current blokes I can name off the top of my head from the Blacktown area, probably a few more in lower grades. Patrician Brothers Blacktown is always going to be a massive "nursery" of players, there's no reason why they have to be partnered with Penrith either.
Or whatever.
Tends to get brought up on here every so often, whether the club has any desire to bother with it who knows ?nice idea but a couple of things -
1. We can't even get it right in our own district. The Sharks and the junior clubs have a huge gulf between them. There are more kids in school that support St George or Canterbury than Cronulla
2. Penrith pump hundreds of thousands of dollars into their district and there is no way they would sit by and watch another club try to stake a claim to what is rightfully theirs. If we started a turf war, we would be the losers.
Good to see people thinking though. Maybe start thinking about a country region.....funnily enough, like Penrith has.

This is the bit that gets me - fix this before we go looking to claim other areas.
I can't believe anybody here wouldn't sign Maloney...
FMD - Robson is the alternative?
****ing idiotic isn't it.
Jonathan wright being chased by St. Helens super league I'm hearing
Late December last I heard. ..if he isn't back by then the club has a option in it's favour, To terminate his contract.
Not sure on the exact date.
I've heard this a couple of times. Not sure if there is any truth to it.Have I not been paying attention 1st time I've read or heard anything about not being back by certain dates that can activate termination of contracts..
Can we request a transfer fee???
