As a League tragic I've always loved Willie. Big, imposing character on the field and just as big off it. Could find a headline like no one else, and now I love how he seems to embrace the controversy. Almost baiting the media.

Agree. People complain about the robotic nature of sportsmen these days yet complain when someone willing to speak their mind comes along.

I don't particularly want him at our club but I hope he finds a club. Love big Willie.

So I have seen on Fb that someone that knows mitch browns father has said that we have signed him for 40k more then dogs to have him in 2015. I know a few have mentioned on here too. I think would be a handy signing. Would like to see him back in our colors.

Mitch Brown surely must be a depth signing..?
Rate Gagan and Feki more then Brown, why sign a average player to replace a solid prospect player.
Wouldn't argue if he was a straight up swap for Jono Wright though..

who says brown will be a walk up start? if jono leaves we have a centre spot open anyway

brown will add more value to our squad going forward than the likes of the gards and stapos we have had for depth

I know this is a long shot but with these salary cap issues at the Broncs. Is there anyway we could get into Milford's ear if his contract doesn't go through? Would be very handy here. As I said total long shot but geez that would be good

Supercoach Ricky Stuart offered him 900K a season for 3 years and he still chose the broncos.
What would we have to offer ?

FROM THE OTHER FORUM:

As far as I know, Jono Wright has no contract offer from us for next year.

Mitch Brown is a solid signing. Hearing we will have a few more over the coming weeks.

Mitch Brown is quite a lacklustre signing, far better candidates off contract with the likes of Merrit, Duffie, Nabuli, Reece Robinson, Sami Sauilama, Fonua...signing offers zero improvement to the squad

yes it does

mitch brown is better than:

blake ayshford
nathan gardner
nathan stapleton*

so he improves our depth and makes our squad better

EDIT: probably in better form than jono wright as well

Agreed. He improves the squad no question. No point in comparing him to guys we haven't signed, and some of those mentioned, like Merritt and Duffie, will ask a lot more than Brown, so it's apples and oranges.

hard to feel much about a "depth signing"

if he starts in first grade next year will be very sad in deed..
