He won't leave the dogs loves it there he and Renyolds have a great combo. We will need to develop our own stars I think and hold onto them.

We should be in a position to offer quite a bit more than them if we're prepared to. I agree, Bennett going back home makes it harder for us, but money talks if the difference is big enough.

I know he probably won't. But at this rate, I'm willing to try anything. He left Manly to chase the money, he could do it again. Couldn't hurt to ask, if Hunt stays in Brisbane, right?

I don't think in a year we will have turned it around enough but I think that could be a blessing. The tigers will be a strong side over the next 5 years all home grown and while we don't have anywhere near the depth of talent we do have a crop of really talented kids to come through over the next 2-3 years.

Might be time to bite the bullet see out the old blokes left in the team and from 2017 own the comp with our own youth (sprinkled with a few imports)

It will suck as a spectator but I can't see us being able to buy a side to challenge in the short term.

So have the rules changed regarding when you can sign a player? Reports say clubs can't sign a player for 2016 until November of this year. I remember Easts signed Maloney before the 2011 GF for the 2013 season.

Agree, we will get the right mix with this approach, maybe centre, half back and prop imported, and we generally nurture what we've got for two years.
