I was just saying to a mate at work that I would still rather him over Morris and De Gois.

He is no where near the worst hooker in the comp, so I guess you'd have to see it as an upgrade.

I'd hope maybe for Ennis to play 50-60 and give brown little stints off the bench to ease him in, give him more game time if he shows signs of excellence.

Buying Marshall and Ennis is akin to eating a red frog. You feel buzzed for a little while once the sugar kicks in but not long after, you are right back to where you came from. This club has no idea how to build a strong and sustainable period of success. You may have one good year by buying experienced players looking for an opportunity (or last chance) but very rarely does it turn into 2, 3 or 4 years of competitiveness. Who was the last player that Cronulla signed that every club in the competition wanted but he chose us over them all? I also think the NRL will come knocking on the door again to find out what involvement Flanno has had with these potential signings. This will just be another headline the club doesn't need because anyone with half a brain would know that there is no way that the club would be signing players without the coach having involvement in one way or another.

I'm over caring what the NRL think, at the moment.. With there stupid interference rule, their stupid origin rules, their letting channel 9 dictate to them, their apparent no sanctions to Brett Stewart drink driving, ref and video ref blunders, people talk about us being rudderless and shambles.

Todd Carney - resigned with us after large offers from Souths, Penrith, Saints and NZ. 5 year deal basically sees him here for the good years of the rest of his career

one day you're eating red frogs, the next you're licking cane toads out the back of Mullumbimby

Great stuff Sharks, another two players to the list with their age starting with a 3. FMD why do we keep doing this? I can stomach Benji at a reasonable salary. But as much I hate the idea of Robbo at hooker I'd rather use him there next year and blood brown for 2016.

Would be happy to sign Ennis, as I have said in previous threads he would be a great player for a young hooker to learn from. I wouldn't want a long term deal though, 3 years is ideal IMO. If it was a smaller contract I'd be happy for 4 years.

2015
9 Ennis
14 Robbo
Brown to come in for any injury/suspension/rep duties in halves (Robbo can switch or he can play halves) or hooker position.

2016
9 Ennis
14 Brown

2017
9 Brown
14 Ennis

This would be the ideal way to play the Ennis/Robbo/Brown situation IMO.

I just read in the telegraph we are making a play for Michael Ennis. Tell me it aint so. If true this may question my loyalty.
