300k for lichaa is way to much!
850k for fifita is way to much!
We would of been shooting ourselves in the foot if we signed either one for that much , over a million for them two is way too much

It also depends on a needs basis for each club. We desperatly need a hooker so we should have given Lichaa a couple of games off the bench last year to see how he went. If he showed promise we extend him last year, not wait until other clubs are interested. No foresight in this club whatsoever!

Yep, not happy to lose either of them but we have to be mindful of the dollars we spend, if we sign these guys on big big money we are just putting off the inevitable by losing others like Wade later this yr.

Part of resigning a player has to even out, the player expects good money & rightfully so but the player has to want to play at the club as well plus think of the big picture that if they want success on the field others need to be paid accordingly as well which means everyone has to take a little less.

Well said Snow. Sometimes people need to take a step back and really think about what's going on. We have not let either play go. They have taken offers higher than we were willing to go. That's good business in my books on the payers side as well as ours. Why pay overs just for the sake of keeping them?

300K ! no wonder he would be thinking about it! We do have guys like Brown in the waiting but Liccha has been here for years ... it just frustrates me, club puts the hard yards and BAM in comes other clubs with check books!

its the same as peachey, fifitia, lichaa ect... we put our best offer forward, its not as if we said, nah sorry mate, dont want you, feel free to leave.

but we cant compete with an open cheque book and a club with arguably the most 3rd party deals out of the sydney clubs. it is what it is. and it wont get better

it's why our cap has to be managed properly

seriously if they are paying Fafita $850k then cya later and $300k for Licha can live with him going, last time we paid overs for a bulldogs player that hadn't made the grade, what happened????????? there are 25 players in the top squad and with carney and wade also taking up big $$$$ plus lewie and Gal, what are we gonna pay the other 19
no one pays $850k for a prop no one

It is difficult to know which offer is more staggering. I thought if Fifita went we would be certainties to retain Lichaa. But 300K for an untested player! The rugby league world has gone mad.

They are both ridiculous offers but bulldogs being one of the the richest clubs can afford it.We cant and should be happy to see them leave. Dogs also are gonna annouce a full back so morris is going for sure.we need to jump on him asap give him 2.4m for 4 years , we need him and he will attract others, alot of good young wingers will jump at a chance to play outside him

Didn't they just announce that Morris and a few others were staying on ?

morris has played 2 years to long. if we are losing lichaa then brown needs to be signed long term, and throw a cheap contract at anthony mitchell
I've actually wondered why anthony mitchell has never gotten a decent run in first grade, he looks a better player than matt keating or rory kostjasyn - the blokes that have got picked ahead of him.
