A strike outside back would be great, but a good pack and a half will improve all our outside backs.

Also give Finucane a blank check at this point. We need a middle team of him and Mcinnes to save us.

There’s Finucane and Vaughan on the market.. in terms of forwards they are up there.

No halves so we can’t do anything there

Manu is a back that is there for the taking I think he’s free to talk to from November not sure which others might be as good

Yeah I'd happily be all over both of them and TPJ.

As for halves, yeah I thought there would be more from November, but there isn't. Maybe we should be pushing the Dylan Brown narrative if their cap is tight. They might be willing to release him and give the coaches son a run.

Manu looks great when he plays in a key position, but often looks like he is catching a cold in the centres. If we struggle to feed Ramien early ball to make an impact zi have my doubts about getting the value out of Manu there.
All depends on the price I guess.

Eels releasing Brown does make sense as the coaches son would be next in line for a permanent NRL spot at the Eels.

Dufty - equal to Kennedy. Both have consistently been best for their sides. I'd even argue Dufty slightly ahead with experience.
JAC - multiple SOO, international and consistently in top 3 leading try scorers. Ronnie (our best) has only achieved accidental SOO selection. JAC pisses all over our wingers.
Naden - equal to Ramian. Difficult to separate both. Ramian had wraps not lived up to them. Naden has wraps and yet to be given full opportunity.
Allen - equal to Tracey. Difficult to separate both. Tracey a smidgen in front based on versatility.
Cotric - Equal to Katoa. I would rate Cotric ahead of Katoa. Played very well at Raiders and playing solidly at Dogs.

Dogs win on points decision.

Would definitely take their wingers over ours, not so sure about the rest.

I'm sure one of the aspects to this story is that Gutho is off contract next year and they can't afford to lose their best player. Maybe the cap is too tight to offer him what he will get elsewhere.

A Brown/Hynes combination and a great halves coach would be beautiful.

For what the Dogs are paying JAC and Cotric I'd rather Katoa and Ronnie. Those two are on massive overs for wingers, even JAC being as good as he is you can't go spending that on wingers when you've got others issues imo. I get the feeling JACs try scoring might dry up a bit when he leaves the Storm.

Are you ? There is no game breaker in our backline, no one to give it to when the games on the line no one to run our plays at or for.. we lack a little class

Maybe so but it's far from our biggest problem. We don't need to or can't responsibly solve all our team issues in one season. It'll take a couple of years to get all our recruiting done.

Besides Kennedy, Ramien, Katoa and Ronnie are all contracted the next two years anyway. Only one spot available which might be Tracey's if you believe rumours.

We need forwards, if we can nab one or two then next year we have Uele, Fifita, Graham and others off contract to go fill some more gaps if we want to move others on. Bit of cash to spend then too.

Agree in theory but JAC is one winger I would pay overs for. Absolute freak.

He is just fast, I don't feel like he has much else to offer. Will be interesting to see how he goes for the dogs

He plays well above his weight imo.

Pure speed is what we lack, none of it in our backline.

I know we need urgent recruits in the forwards but we really don't have a lot of coin tied up in our 1-7 next year as things currently stand.

I'd take a punt on Brooks just to see how he goes on a different environment.
