Why? They have Burton next year and Flanno Jr for 2 more years.

Unless Burton isn’t coming or they want to move on Flanno already.

They should stick with Flanno, he’s not great but once Burton takes some pressure off it’ll help.

Problem is they have Flanju and Averillo until 2023, and Brandon Wakeham next year, and Burton coming until 2024.
Not really room to invest another 700kish on halves. Would need to shake a couple off.

Brown just for sheer quality would be good not sure Bunty is as good a pickup for them, they have some other blokes who can still grow into being good impact bench forwards which is all Bunty really is for now. He'd still be decent but they wouldn't want to be in a bidding war for him. Probably not enough of an upgrade on Ogden and Atoni to warrant a big spend. This is Dylan Napa's last year chewing up their cap, he's on more than Woods is with us, turn that into Brown and it improves their side.
Napa could be an interesting pickup for someone especially if they pay for current form and not prior reputation.

JAC and Fergo starting wingers at same club could be fun off the field and on it...

Danny Weidler just tweeted that Townsend is set to have a meeting with Fitzgibbon about his future as early as tomorrow. He’s linked to a bunch of clubs apparently including Nth Qld. This is despite the fact he has his contractual player option.

Brent Read also just tweeted that the Cowboys are set to announce a key signing on Wednesday and he’s got a tip that it will be Townsend.

I'm a fan of Brown's but I think the thing that makes him such a good player is that he does everything at 120%. It's not so much because of naturally exceptional athleticism.

A bit like Mark O'Meley.

When he gets a bit older and he's lost the 20% advantage he becomes an stock standard NRL forward. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
