Brown is a good prospect - and a Kiwi. Multi-million dollar contract seems like a bit of overkill though.

Funny to see Parra complaining about possibly losing their “local juniors”. Losing Brown would be the equivalent of when we lost Isaako. Kiwi kid who has been in their system a couple of years.

Fox sports are reporting that Flanno is caught up in payments made outside the cap, and will have to leave, as early as next season. And we’ve got cash flow problems? Talk of John Morris getting a crack. Surely it’s all speculation. Bellamy survived the mother of all cap scandals, I’m sure Flanno can.

This right here. Like I said in the other thread about the staff redundancies, there really appears to be some teams that can get away with it while others can't. Realistically with the massive rort of the cap by Melbourne, one would think that Bellamy would have been rubbed out of the game for some time, yet nothing.

And how do we have cash flow problems? How did they cock up this golden opportunity with the development project? That was meant to position the Sharks as a financially strong club for years to come. Lack of sales? Too many hands in the wallet taking their share? It is all a wonder of, how have we cocked this up...

The people that made the development happen were working very hard for little or no money, in order to create some ripe conditions for other people to come in and claim all of the fruit. It's just one of those things that happens. The members voted for it. Rothfield orchestrated it.

Pretty simple really, nrl needs storm to survive to combat afl.

Us in the other hand, nrl needs less teams in Sydney.

Storm hardly "got away with it" and you don't even know if we'll be punished yet let alone what that punishment might look like.

Brian Waldron the Storm CEO at the time was rubbed out for good. I don't remember any coach copping the wrap for admin **** ups, why would Bellamy ?

Exactly. Some of the dodgy storm dealings were things like a new kitchen reno for cam smith invoiced to the club, potentially 50-60k worth on paper......boats etc. u think bellamy was organising these things?

I think our problem with the development was that we didn't have the start up funds to get it going. The organisations with the start up funds could ask for any conditions they wanted. They're the ones that did well out of it.
