I'm not anti this deal because Flanno knows what he is doing when it comes to recruitment, he won us a premiership based on smart recruitment. But gee it leaves me scratching my head.

We are swapping our premiership winning half who has made grand finals with 3 different clubs, who is a test player, for a guy who has potential but has played a handful of games in the halves and is 'unsettled' off the field. Yes he is younger but top halves play into their mid '30s so a 3 year deal with Maloney is fine. This is one the riskiest player movements we've been involved in. There is no more important player in your team than a goal kicking half.

More to this than meets the eye. Maloney is on the nose at the club and several would be happy for him to go.

Personally I think its a great move. Moylan is a class player who is only going to get better. Maloney is on the downhill slide. He was pretty average for us this year with his mistakes and poor discipline.

Townsend and Maloney. Is there a halves combination in the NRL with better hair than these two

It blows my mind that so many of you would prefer moylan in the halves (a fullback with some halves experience) over an actual quality established half in Pearce. He might not be the best in Origin, but he has been a good consistent club performer. He would be my first choice in half (out of the current merri-go-round) . (I would also enjoy the back peddling you would all do after a couple good games for us if we did sign him, half of you would be lined up ready to blow him)

We already have a half, we need an attacking 5/8.

And no, Maloney is not that based on recent form. He can **** off if we land Moylan.

I would rather Keary, but yeah Pearce as well. His kicking game would be handy
