I dont know if I am.

Cook - reasonable but not great.
Vaughan - Played well on the weekend and probably pick of the bunch but he even cant make the Canberra 17.
T-Rex - I dont know what all the fuss is about. His dominant days were so long ago.
Starling - Ordinary.

Re Cook, which great hooker would you like? We're not going to get someone as good as Ennis.
Re Vaughan, Canberra have a great pack so the fact he hasn't been making their side doesn't mean anything. When he does play he does a bloody good job, that's all we care about.

My point is they arent great.

I personally would like to see nu brown in the 9 and cook as back up.

As a bench prop he would do but hes no superstar.

I've been pushing Browns case as much as anyone here, but Cook is a better option to start right now. If anything I'd do it the other way around and put Brown on the bench. We seem to get by using three forwards off the bench anyway, so I think we'd be able to carry a bench hooker/half.

It seems like its all wishful thinking anyway.

Damien Cook has asked for a release from South Sydney to take up an offer to become the long-term replacement for Michael Ennis at Cronulla.

"Cook is contracted to the Rabbitohs for next year but wants to leave Redfern to take up a two-year deal at the Sharks. Souths trumpeted the acquisition of unwanted Tiger Robbie Farah last week, a move that kills off Cook’s ambition to become a starting hooker. However, he has been guaranteed the No.9 jersey vacated by Ennis should he shift to the Shire from 2017."

i dont like the headline that he will be our long term 9

puts the brailey boys nose up straight away
can't control what the media puts as their headlines. That's coming from them and not the club. As long as the club is clear in setting the boys their pathways and development strategies then i doubt they have any dramas with it. 2 year deal would suggest that.

with the names being thrown up i'll chip in

Cook - im ok if it is a 2 year deal, give the brailey boys a chance to play reserves and break the bench. can re-assess after if their development isnt as good or they are turning into the next Ennis

TRex - we need size and aggression, im cool if he is cheap, which i have heard he is, and he gets about 20-30 minutes. **** just needs to run hard

Starling: plodder. pass

Sims: Pick of the lot for me, must sign player

Vaughan: sign him for the right price

Did some calculations, Vaughan averages 120 meters per game in 36 mins . Taga has only cracked the 100 m mark twice this year.

2 years is hardly a long term commitment from the club - future ennis replacement bla bla could just be sales speak from our end while Flanno has something else in mind or it could just be journo hyperbole
(i ain't read the full article, at work). As snowy said, not much harm in just monitoring his development and progress while having other options cooking (ha) on the side

Could starling be the next Matt prior? As prior wasn't well received when we signed him in the first place. Now Everyone has man love on him.
