If he is cheap then he is coming for the right reasons. The players that chase the big money seem to always fail.

The T. rex signing I would normally not like, but I'm thinking of another Dessy reject who came here recently and went on to play his best footy for us. So yeah, happy with it.

I've no doubt our association with Newtown negatively affects our depth and how that depth progresses into FG.

I think it's reasonable to take that view Caps but for whatever reason all our depth perhaps excluding Mckillwrik (spelling) when called up into FG this year have been strong. Capewell, Nu, ect even Mitch Brown, whether that was these players busting their ass to get out of the jets ha ha I don't know but it showed that form could transfer over and that counts for something.

Progress and career paths into first grade beyond the short term likely negatively effected and less chance of players forming combo's with fellow Sharks contracted players I do think is a thing but I think the club has made it work as best it can until we get our own NSW Cup side back up and running. $$$ & Resources is a reality we have had to deal with.

T-Rex is probably worth the gamble

I agree that he is, on the rational assumption he has come cheap. There isn't much for us to lose giving him a pre-season and trial games under Flanno in our systems.
If it doesn't work out we shift him to NSW Cup and keep him as depth and can always call him up if form warrants it. It's a no brainier IMO
