I'd very much dig having Sezer here, unfortunately Manly will scoop us on any serious half we go after.

Seriously though what do you guys think of Sezer? Preferred choice or someone else?

I didn't watch the first 2 Titans games too close and am yet to watch their last showing, but from what I've seen of him in the past and considering what else is off contract I'd have him top of my list to chase. Good boot, bit of toe, can create a bit, match awareness, damn good goal kicker and has a few seasons under his belt.

I am warming to the idea yes. I just don't rate hodkinson much at all (not that I think he'll leave the bulldogs anyway).

I've stated my lack of enthusiasm for Hodko before. He's Robbo before he lost a bit of pace and his kick.

We've got the makings of a side who with a couple touches of class in the right spots could jag a comp. The halves is one of the most important spots where we need that touch of class. Securing DCE could of made it a possibile in the next 2-3 seasons. That would of been perfect in that we could go all out in the next 2 to win a comp, and either way still have him to build again with the likes of Val, Gagan, Barba, Graham, Feki etc.

To sign a Sandow could bring us success, but I feel it would be more by luck than design - and we're not lucky. He may be around still when we reload our roster and have another go.

Signing a guy like Maloney would be okay. I think good enough to enable us to push in the next 2, but thats about all he should be around for. This would require a proper plan to bring through a young replacement in a season or two, preferably one of our own.

Out of the confirmed first graders I guess I'd go:
Sezer - Good to go and will be around to see out the next 'phase'.
Maloney - Stop gap but also good to help us contend. Heavily reliant on our ability to bring in an unnoticed and/or young talent.
Hodko/Sandow - Can't split 'em. For either to work it would take a good effort to improve Hodko or keep Sandow firing.

I'm reserving judgement for a bit, but a lot of that is reliant on coaching, and at present it doesn't look like we're capable in that department.

Talk about jumping down a mans throat haha

Yes Sharks 2010 you are right again . I don,t know a lot about Sezer and am concerned tha whoever we are trying to bring to the club is gunna be a good fit with footy skills, off field and on field behaviour.

Will they end up a part of the solution or the problem , we have had a bit of a history of knee jerk reaction that can and has bitten us on the bum before.

In short we really need to do our home work to ensure we have a really good fit.

SEZER SUSPENDS CONTRACT TALKS WITH TITANS
DAILY TELEGRAPH – MARCH 25, 2015
AIDAN SEZER, DALY CHERRY-EVANS, GOLD COAST TITANS, KANE ELGEY, NEWS
Aidan Sezer

Aidan Sezer has suspended contract talks with the Titans in a move that could open the door for Kane Elgey to partner Daly Cherry-Evans at the Gold Coast scrumbase next season.

Elgey has the chance to showcase his potential when the playmaking young gun makes his NRL debut alongside Sezer against Cronulla this Saturday at Remondis Stadium.

Elgey remains off-contract at season's end, but Sezer's decision to delay negotiations amid interest from an NRL rival has thrown the race to partner Titans-bound Cherry-Evans wide open.

Sezer is favoured to oust Elgey and Mortimer for the Titans' No. 6 jumper next season, but the Coast now face competition to retain the former Indigenous All Stars pivot.
