I'm not sure what's happened. What I do know/believe to be true isn't 'my' mail so I'll leave it for others to share when the time comes.

But our offer was WAY more than $2.4m with third parties included.

All the word was that it was down to two Clubs post our meeting with him - and neither was the GC. They gave him a bad preso, their prospects were bad an now theyre worse.

Then all of a sudden, the NRL takes control of the Titans and the offer changed.

How it changed? Not sure. But I suspect there'll be some sort of 'ambassador' payment on offer.if he signs up there. Basically a third party deal that the NRL arranged if not guaranteed.

Its a rort. Don't be naive.

Now it appears Snowman from this forum and CB4 from the OTHER forum , both being the main sources of any Sharks DCE inside knowledge have both gone quiet .
I personally take this as a good scenario . No doubt we're at a delicate stage .
BUT if our bid had definitely fallen over already , I'm sure they would have let us know by now .
So either we're still in the running or everyone is playing their cards very close to their chests .
So fingers crossed the Sharks receive the best outcome either way .

The only way I can see it playing out that we get DCE is if this whole idea that DCE is mad keen on the GC is that the media have merely assumed that since the NRL stepped in to guarantee the deal DCE would 'naturally' favour them. Let's not kid ourselves, at no point does the mainstream sports media ever back us, beyond beetroot cheeks, so it's not outrageous to think that this is all based on speculation.

Sidenote: Has Orr come out since his radio interview and admitted that the GC are indeed favourites, or that DCE gives a **** that the NRL are guaranteeing the deal?

Good news is if he goes to the goldy,
I rekon toovs head could well explode live on TV, and the
Power brokers at manly will be going ape droppings, more chance people listening to them than anyone from the Sharks.
Still rekon success is important to dce, winners love winning ain't getting that at gold coast.
Cmon cherry help the Sharks break our cherry.

It would be funny as if he signed with us after the big media circle jerk over the Gold Coast.

I can just picture all these bafoons looking like they've been sucking a lemon.

As far as I was aware he loved our deal and just wanted assurances on the 3rd party stuff

Maybe it's taking a little time to get that sorted?

All I know is if the Nrl did not step in there would be no chance of DCE going to the titans, that's enough to base this arguement, even if the titans were in the running before it broke doesn't mean ****.

There is also no evidence proving that the Nrl isn't doing something off the side.

I agree with you boys the last 20 pages have been too and fro with many facts coming from what the donkeys in the press publish.

I hope all of us can agree on this

On the balance of probabilities, based on previous performance, it's right to assume that the NRL are ****s. Whatever the question may be.
