It's just the "lurker" dribbling again. The same blokes reported that we had signed Hampton, that we had signed Takairangi, that Stapleton was going to France last season, that a State of Origin player had a sex taped that was being released during origin series, that Barba going to the Sharks was fantasy and that he was staying at Broncos, etc etc etc.
These sportal blokes are the worst of the rumour spreaders. They just make a bunch of stuff up without any inside knowledge, hoping that one of them eventually turns out to be correct so that they can claim to have been the ones to break the story.

I disagree Sutty. I don't think they make much up at all. But they do publish rumour - that is, unsubstantiated claims.
Often those claims are fed to them by people with a stake in the process, like player managers. So often theyre untrue.
And they bet. That is, they get a germ of info and then pick the most likely outcome in order to look knowledgeable.
For instance I'm pretty confident we were talking to Hampton and the lurker claimed he'd signed. He obviously hadn't.
I read the rumour reporters because I find them entertaining and because they actually try to report on influential events (in RL terms). On the whole, I find RL "journalism" awful in that it reveals nothing - nothing about strategy or tactics, little about recruitment or player development etc. Gould is the only person who can analyse a game now that Warren Ryan has retired.
On comparison, I'm a huge cricket follower and but couldn't care less about a cricket rumour. That's because I can read quality reporting of events and diverse, quality analysis from around the world on cricinfo.
Sorting the BS from fact just takes a bit of judgement and background knowledge.

Agree, Must be the way they motivate him over the off season. He seems really popular amongst their playing group, imagine if they chopped him then fergo continues the tradition of leopards not being able to change their spots... Goodbye season 2015.
